  1. Yea its crazy Linda... the shower is in the rear left corner, the water tank rear right... I'm going to dig up some information on it because it was 90% gutted when I got it. I've never seen it either!
  2. Hi All, Its been a while. I Sold my Sunraders and moved to Missouri. I still have the beefed up landcruiser, but would like to start on a unit that is lower to the ground and more stock as I don't need a Supercharger or snorkel for a 4x4 motorhome, I don't plan on going underwater with it. Today I took delivery of 2 units I acquired, a 1995 toyota Land Cruiser with the K294 axle code (stock lockers) and a 1986 toyota Sunrader which has already been mostly gutted. I have a tiny home build in the works too so this project will not get all my attention, the good news is that I now have a shop to work in that will fit this rig. Cheers
  3. Thanks CK! You're right and I added it. Since then I sold the Camper for More than I paid for it and the 18' for less. I also sold the RV with that 1 ton axle and its already on a 1984 huntsman. If I break even on the 21' I'd be happy. Going to clean it up and list it professionally here in a few days. We are selling our home soon and will be fulltiming around the USA again in our 37' rig for a season. I'm really getting excited about that.
  4. I also just listed this. I have another coach 1988 with 1 ton axle. $500 to you guys and I'll throw in the rest of the RV... Yes, a 1988. No fridge and the engine won't turn over. http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/rvs/4411345942.html
  5. Hey guys, I've listed my sunraders on craigslist. Let me know if your interested, I don't check much here so send me an email through the craigslist ad. Cheers, Mike http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/rvs/4410523958.html
  6. Its still a goal Linda... I've been a member on this site for quite a while. If I get a shop, it will be completed. Bucket list item for me.
  7. hey guys, these are mine, if you look at history, you'll see a bunch of pictures. We have just been offered an insane amount for our home and we cannot pass it up so we are going to Full time around the Good O'le US of A for another year in our 37' rig and will likely land in New Hampshire when done. They Are not sold and I think listing them both scared a few people away. I'm just trying to get rid of them. I don't want to get rid of them, but paying $200 a month for storage is out of the question, I would keep them. They are Completely gutted but all the guts are here. My plan for the 18' Sunrader was to morph it into a Landcruiser body. I will still do this someday but it will be a few years when we settle again. My backup was to get an 85 Toyota 4x4 truck and drop the shell on it. so I'd have a 4x4. The Sunrader camper is a 8' bed camper, its gutted as well and my plan for it was to build it into a bed of a 4x4 Toyota Truck. Permanently so I could use more floor space than what is offered. 1982 Sunrader $2k gets the 1982 Sunrader 18' with 80,000 miles. I don't know much about it mechanically except that I drove it 40 miles home a while ago (last summer). It drove well. The engine starts up after a few pumps every 2 months (when I start it to move it). after its started it starts right up and runs strong. It has an automatic transmission in it. One of the front windows was redone in clear Lexan or whatever and isn't the prettiest. The other window is perfect. It does have the shower and the toilet and the tanks underneath look good. All the guts, heater, fridge, stove (fridge and stove worked) didn't test the heater or water heater. Its all there. Tabs are good for a few more months too. 1977 Camper Free with above purchase, The floor is removed as the wood was rotted and it collapsed (see my other threads). Both front windows are perfect, it has the hatch rear and the awning poles are even there. 2k takes them both or if you just want the roller, 2k. Its much less than what I paid.
  8. Must feel good to finally get in front of the Judge. Is there more to the story... what did the Judge say?
  9. Getout, reread your separation process. I was in there today removing lots - o - screws. Don't know if it will be off this weekend, but would like it to.
  10. No, I haven't torn into the walls yet, but there seems to be 1" of foam or something behind the wall panelling. The screws that I pulled out were pretty long. I'll keep you updated this weekend, might get to it some.
  11. Ok, little update. Going to build this over on the forum at sunrader.com Obtained a supercharged 1997 40th anniversary Obtained a 1981 18' unit with a bath and rear dinette Today I gutted the 81. Here is the forum forum.sunrader.com Here is the thread I'm building this on. http://forum.sunrader.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2 Cheers - Mike
  12. Dump when full. If you have a newer model it will have buttons to press to see the level in the tank. If not then look down the toilet when in use... don't let it get to floor level. companies make tanks to dump into as well if you are more permanent at a site. You can dump into the towable container, and drive your car/truck to the septic/sewer pipe at your location and dump the tank. Yes dump black then grey to wash out the black from the tank pipes and the hose.
  13. Hey, I disagree... punt the sunrader, keep the wife. Sunraders are just a thing. Just sayin... Priorities.... Edit: but if the wife is in agreement, keep the sunrader and finish it up... How are you doing... any progress?
  14. For those choosing to go oem.... if you can find it. www.toyotapartszone.com is where I shop for my Toyota's. If you buy a lot from your dealer you can negotiate with your toyota dealer as well. They know this site is out there and if you let on that you can get it cheaper, they will lower the price up to 30%. I now just call my dealer for OEM.
  15. Completely gutted the 77 camper... I'll have to go take a look-see but I know the shell is all the same width 3/16ths per that picture above. I've also seen some good youtube videos of a guy re-arching his roof of his sunrader. I'm pretty sure it will take some thinking, but not impossible to do. I've owned over 10 Sunraders and still have a lot to learn. Its good reading that some sturdier cabinetry work also strengthens the roof a tad.
  16. Yea the EPA emissions say its for the 81 model year. So its an 81 that got changed along the way somewhere.
  17. Yes, likely the case - This one is titled as an 82... have yet to look for a door/vin tag that would say more. Researching the best way to separate the RV from the truck now.
  18. I've had a few Sunraders with the optional hitch or rear deck support and they go way under the coach and attached to the main frame. As long as you beef it up to the main frame, I'd feel safe.
  19. I am a tiny house fanatic. Actually, building a 12x16 Tiny house right now (on a single stump). I would have to say that that house you posted is by far the stealthiest one I've ever seen and the truck is likely a sleeper too!
  20. Not a terrible combo. I've had V6's that were over 170,000 with the 3.0. However they had the head gasket recalled. Getout, did you call toyota yet and see if it was recalled and the head gasket was replaced? This may have been covered already? Sorry if it has. Of course I prefer a 22re with a 5 speed
  21. Even has the original temp gauge.... cool.
  22. Derek, I looked at your post and even read it upside down. Can you elaborate for my feeble brain? EDIT: Doh, finally got it... 10 or 14 clearance lights I don't have to fix!!! Thanks
  23. Its an 82. Don't know yet on the windows the left one was an attempted fix... its clear. I'm thinking of just glassing the curve and putting a 1 piece up front.
