  1. A Sunrader I used to own recently burned to the ground. I kept in touch with the man who bought it and he told me of the tragedy. He loved it as much as i did. I feel real bad for him, I think he was practically living in it.
  2. Maybe the guy who is parting out an old Toyota MH has one. Here is the link to the forum threat with the craigslisting in it. Never Know??? http://toyotamotorhome.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=3924
  3. I yanked out the entire Kitchen area today. Found soaked carpet, a Water heater tank that is rusted through. I got all of that out, and now it has 100 pounds less of that musty smell these old campers get. I have no idea how I am going to re-do the Kitchen part, but one will just pop into my head one of these days....LOL
  4. I had a Great day getting the new wall installed. A good friend stopped by and gave me a hand in getting the job done. It came out Awesome!!! The Luan wood and the Golden Oak color matches really well. At first I was not to sure when looking at it outside of the coach, but once inside and installed it is a very close match. I will get a pic up tomorrow after my camera battery charges.
  5. Well last weekend I decided to finally rip out the bad wall. It was really not to bad getting it all out, so that is done. I went to a big box store and picked up some Luan paneling. One side has a reddish colored wood and the other a more wood grained light in color, so that's the side I am using. I bought some Golden Oak color stain with the poly built in, I found that is the closest in color to the original I could find. I have 3 coats on it, and it came out pretty good! So tomorrow in goes the new wall, should be fun!!! Next is the flooring, and then getting the shell polished up. As I have said before, I am having a lot of fun messing with this old girl ;-)
  6. Not mine, just throwing this up in case anyone is interested. http://neworleans.craigslist.org/rvs/2402892323.html
  7. I am looking at the Coleman Mach III PS 13500 BTU. I has the heat strip option which is about $35.00 depending on who you buy it from. I suffered significant damage to the fins, and cover on the unit from a recent freak hail storm (15 years since the last one like it), and it does not produce any cooling, so I decided to change it out to new rather than have it repaired. I found that the cost to repair is a little over half for new so I am going in that direction.
  8. I am going to change out my AC and was just looking at all of the options. My Heater works great after I put a new board on it, so maybe just a regular roof AC will be just fine. Thanks for the input!!!
  9. Worth it? Which do you all think is better?
  10. Went by to price a Coleman locally, about $100.00 more than I can get one off of the internet, and they don't match pricing I did find out that my 3.0 Onan will fun it just fine though, so at least something good came out of the trip!~
  11. Hi all! Been thinking of whether to replace or get my old Roof AC fixed. We had a bad hail storm here and the fins got whacked pretty bad, so I am leaning towards replacement. I have been looking at the Coleman Mach III Power Saver units, but not sure if this would be a good choice for my Sunrader. I want to be able to use it with Generator power. I have a working Onan 3.0 in my rig right now. My genset powers up the Dometic I have fine, but my AC is low on Freon and it's about half the price of a new one to have it serviced, plus the fin issue. I am open to recommendations. I want to be able to work on things in the interior this summer and not die from heat stroke.....LOL I will be running it on house power while fixing things, but eventually may have to use my Genset if I am out camping. Please advise. Thom

  13. Easy enough to do, or I can put a cool chrome tip on it!! The kind that has an inner and outer tube ;-)
  14. I was thinking the same thing about it being cooled down by the time it got there. You just never know with these Toys, read some horror stories over the strangest things.
