Well the entire system is relatively new, And I got the unit from my mommy who used it often didn't have this issue. Although, she used paper and plastic for meals and showered at the parks facilities. So, I'm leaning towards the gray water tank being smaller than I thought it was. Thanks guys..

We just got back from our 1st trip which was for 5 nights and our Shower backed up twice during our stay. A few points: We were at a full hook up site and the rv was level. The water was gray water not black. We Didn't use the shower at all (We used their showers.) It was the wife, baby and I so, dishes were minimal and overall sink useage was minimal as well.. Is there some other way fresh water is leaking over or being diverted to the gray water tank causing it to over fill and back up into the shower? I thought maybe the vent on the roof was clogged but, when I open the dump valve, it all flows out fine. I'm Stumped!

Hey all, We arrived back home safely today around 2:30 pm. and i'd like to report that we HAD A BLAST! It was a great place to go and enjoy our first trip in our new (to us) camper. We are so looking forward to our next trip!!!

Well tomarrow we head out on our maiden voyage, and we'll be heading to Stephen Foster camp gounds here in Florida for our first trip. We had planned on taking a trip a while back but, my mom got ill and our plans were put on hold. Anyway, we're excited...

Yeah it's me again.. Figured i'd just add on to this one. Y'all probably recall me mentioning the wind catching the awning and tearing it, along with ripping the hardware off the side of the camper right. Well I finally got that all fixed up. The replacement awning cost me like $230. and the repairs to the side of the camper where the hardware came off cost like $500. I decided to put the awning on myself because the hourly rate at this camper repair shop was like $110/hr. Well it wasn't all that hard to do except it started to rain right in the middle of the job. Yep, the Weather man said there was a 10% chance of rain but, forgot to mention it was right over my house! Well, just as we were wraping everything up a gust of wind caught my ladder, and knocked it over into the side of the camper. Yeah it made a nice pie shaped 3"x 2" DING in the siding . So at this point i'm thinking WTF?!!! I just got done fixing a boo boo and along comes another flippin' boo boo that I now have to fix! UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

Wow, I remember reading somewhere that these lenses weren't available Anywhere. Now I see otherwise. Thanks for the link Stevej. That was the cheapest I've seen. Other rv stores are getting between $15 & $18.00, for shipping a piece of plastic that costs less than $3.00. Have I mentioned... This Site Rocks!!!

Just my .02 I'm running K&N (drop in) filters in my Jeep and the wifey's Rang Rover for several reasons, one of which is they're re usable and I don't have to buy another filter... EVER. Performance wise.. I have 0 complaints. Although I had hoped for HP gains as well as better fuel economy... The reality is there are gains but, they aren't as great as you're lead to believe. Will I get a Drop in for the Dolphin..Yep! Why? Cuz I can!

Yeah, I see cracking on my tires as well. And although I haven't looked to see how old they are, i'm looking at replacing them ... they make me nervous!

The very first time I went to fill my '92 Dolphin up I noticed gas spilling out of the vent hose close to the tank . So, I replaced the entire hose. I will mention that it was a pain in the arse to do because of the limited amount of room but, it was doable.

A few days ago I was looking for a way to run my radio off the coach battery. So, before running a power wire directly to the coach battery itself, I decided to check this forum for a more simplistic way to accomplish my goal. And voila here's a thread with the info I needed. I've since hooked the radio to the isolator and ran the on/off memory wire to the radios power wire (in the cab.) Yeah, I have to remember to turn the radio off when not being used but, at least I don't have to worry about running the trucks battery down . Thanks for this thread, it sure made things WAY easier !!!

I had the awning up the other day (drying after a washing) on our 91 Dolphin, when apparently a strong enough wind came by and tore it up, while I was out front working in the yard. The lower bracket that holds the track closest to the passenger door, was pulled out (basically ripped off the camper, lag screws and all). This apparently allowed the whole thing to fold over and rip the awning right off the roller. Anyway, I need to repair the siding. It's only a small area that was pulled away and ripped a bit (maybe 3"x3" total) What would I use? Fiberglass??. Also, what could I use to repair the wood behind the siding. As you can imagine, when the lag screws were pulled out, it did a bit of damage to the wood. I'd like to have the awning repaired and put it back on, so the wood (or fixed area of wood) would have to be strong enough to put lag screws into it and hold it. Thanks guys/gals.. ~Ray

Okay, since this conversation has anyone had any issues w/ weight in the upper bunk? Again I have the '91 Dolphin and i'm 6'4" weighing in at roughly 305.

Hiya Marilyn, thanks for the welcome. Yeah, anyone can contact me thru my email if they wish. Although, I'm not too sure how much help I'd be as i'm new to RV's at this point. If I were you i'd post the questions you may have here on the forum as well, because there seems to be a wealth of knowledge to be had here.

Okay, I tested the battery by itself (after sitting overnight). The battery read in the 8v range on its own, But the volts steadily climbed (indicating charging) when plugged in or when the truck is running w/out being plugged in. So it looks like we found the issue...the house Battery! Btw, my rv has the 6300-A converter with the coach battery charging option. And for whatever reason my panel by the sink works just fine now! Thanks again for the help fellas!

The other day I noticed two small toggle switches by the fuse box near the driver side floor board. They're ON so I flipped them off to see if I'd notice anything different, but didn't. Just wondering if anyone else has these or maybe they're aftermarket add on's? Thanks..

Today I took the RV out for gas in preparation for our camping trip next week. Well it took roughly $33.00 to fill'er up ( it was just below 1/4 tank) when I hear splashing. I looked under the RV and saw a puddle on the ground, and gas pouring out of the vent line going to the tank. So now my morning was decided for me as I had to fix it. I gotta tell ya, the frikkin hose was married to the tank! The darn thing was hard to get to, ntm seriously stuck. Then I had to remove the frikkin plastic cover under the bench seat that covers the two gas lines, in order to remove that end of the hose. WOW, I gotta tell ya that was a real treat ! Yeah, someone must have had stock in silicone and epoxy, cuz they sure used a lot of it. And lets not forget about the screws that were a real joy to hunt for and remove! Anyway, It's fixed and I survived..Can't wait to go camping next week. It's been like 10 years since I've been.. G' Night...
