  1. I've have a 91 winne V6/auto Is the OD working& torque converter locking up. Timing correct. Air filter Clean. Converter not plugged. Mine Gets 13.6 mpg average.sometimes 14+ & as low as 11+ usally thiers some wind in this area. I only use the OD if it doesn't shift to much usally do it manualy
  2. Where is the sticky or what is it??. I wonder which is the stronger trans (auto or standard) it seems to me that which ever its getting a workout 3/4 to full throttle most of the time mine's a v6 with auto wouldn't mind if the rear was just a tad lower might be able to use OD more.
  3. The one thing I would wonder about is the rear end ratio if its the same both standard/auto
  4. The stuff that they use so you can smell it hangs around seveal hours when I fill mine and they open the vent when filling even though the tank is a outside compartment it gets inside for awhile. Also when I open the tank before I back seat the valve get a little wiff I use a detector its very sensative.
  5. I just went out and looked at mine even if you can't get the nut off you could cut it off with a die grinder / maybe a hacksaw ,your going to replace it anyway,(I'm looking at the end that connects with a tab to the frame). Maybe I'm missing something?
  6. I had some plans as yours,But by the time I got the orignal caulk off the seam across the back I changed my mind it was like trying to peel rubber off a tire. Looked at the tape you mentioned decided that the surfaces were to irregular for it to work,I just sealed the bad spots the orginal caulk wasn't that bad.Ive got a can of cool seal (White) which I plan to coat the AL roof in hopes that it will reflect some of the heat in the summer.
  7. I just saw Shop Rats anwser what I,m saying a lower rear would allow more time in overdrive,A higher ratio it would never pull in OD
  8. My v6 locks up in other gears (torque converter)also the dealer says 4.10 ratio I use the OD as much as possible level ground & not to much wind, otherwise its locked out A little lower rear ratio would be perfect. Averaged out it gets about 13.75 not anyworse in the mountains its the wind and speed that makes it drop like pushing a billboard down the road.
  9. I have the same unit as yours, ever time I change oil I do both eng&Trans you only get out about 2 1/2 qts (trans)it holds a lot more,my toyota parts guy says that the filter is wire mesh and hard to get to he didn't think it was nessary. So I call it refreshing it.Also it has a extra Cooler that is a factory item,I've thought about a temp gauge (trans) but then again maybe I don't wan't to know!!
  10. My 92 v6 averages overall 13.75 if it was level ground no wind would be more, mine has separte injectors not throttle body. The milage climbing grades at a lower speed still about same not pushing so much wind. Tom
  11. You don't say what eng, mine with a v6 does fine.A little more weight won't have much affect its the wind resistance like draging a bill board down the road.
  12. I don't see the need for a bypass ,drain the hot water heater put the plug back then blow it out and remove the plug again to drain whatever went in when it was purged and rember the pee traps and toliet hold the valves open while adding air.
  13. I have a 92 Winne 21' v6 averaged out about 13.75 gas milage up hill -wind some times tail wind & 9000ft a few times, never got close to what you did and it runs good????
  14. If its like my Toyota first thing that comes to mind is the weight on the rear bumper the frame under the back is weak,as to the noise I tried to muffle down a welder didn't work. The quiet one's, its not just the muffler the eng is designed for it.
  15. I have a 2.5k Kohler which seems imposible to run smooth inless its under load,I've checked the amp draw the 7000btu ac is about 8.5 at 90 deg ambient the microwave 11amps I've thought about the Honda 2000i it should do the job,but will it fit and be able to cool in the compartment maybe with some modifing of the Honda package. Tom
  16. I have a 92 winne 21f V6 the extended frame from the axel back doesn't look very strong,I've seen some hitchs added but it looked like a lot of suport was added all the way back to the rear axel. Tom
  17. They are small studs on mine with cone washers, some people claim that using silcon instead of a gasket is the cause,I use silcon. Back to the subject sounds like a drill and easy out maybe also some heat to remove Them or a fine touch with a welder. Tom
  18. I didn't find it to be a hard job,I did make a tool to remove the adjustment nut. The cone washers will like to fly off maybe put the nuts on the studs so you don't lose them.like all jobs the first time seems hard.
  19. I purchased a 92 V6 Winnabago 2 years ago 76000 $13000 appearance wise good condition after a couple of months noticed a lope in the Eng checked compression one cyl low compression it had a bent valve decided to check the rest of the eng when heads were off everthing was good.So I did both the heads rings bearings and pretty much everthing in front water pump fan clutch timing belt didn't won't to take a chance another $1000 in parts with my free labor.I weighted it almost 6000lbs and not really loaded up so its heavy. As to the towing they don't recommend it ,but see people doing it, one even with a small jeep thing??? another 2500 lbs.The thing that you will see on this form there is very little support from the rear axel to the back of the moter home, good luck. Tom
  20. I have about the same thing in texas but temp is ok I did have the radiator roded replaced the fan chutch and just about everything infront,it was running a little hotter before doing all this,I kind of think it could have been the fan clutch. I've pulled grades 6% or more in 95 plus weather I Manually Shift down in 2nd gear at about 40- 45mph. the gauge a little over 1/2 under these conditions. Tom
  21. I think I've run out of help from what you say yours is different mine has no doors below,Its a typical kind of pull out couch thing pick up on the bottom cushion and pull underneath is the water tank pump and some wire. Tom
  22. My is a Winne the couch is a bed also the bottom cushion has 4 nuts the rest of the frame and back rest 4 bolts
  23. I have a 92 winne you didn't say how many BTU'S the unit is mine is 7000 kind of borderline,I've checked the unit its ok but not big enough for 100 deg weather.Insulation most of them don't have a lot.
  24. I think you need to find out what the red line 3600? ,I would think a lot more than that for a v6check with Toyota I did on mine, the engines not working below 3000,my two cents worth
