I have a Doug Thorley tri-y that i bought off craigslist, when I get around to putting a new motor in my rig i was considering running the tri-y and new 2.250 pipe into a magnaflow muffler, deleating the cat all together. anyone see a issue with this? my rig is no longer required to go through any type of inspections, and i am looking to pick up a little more HP. I have the 22RE and the 02 sensor is before the cat right now, and is on the tri y header when gets installed

the 37"dimension includes the flanges, the flanges are about 1.750" wide on each end of the tank, tank itself is roughly 33.5" those flanges also have the bolt holes in them that bolts the tank to the frame
-
so you want to know if the 37" length dimension includes the flanges? I have pretty good acsess to my tank, also still have my stock tank. so i could get you measurments, just want to be sure what one I do know that the spectra T08B will bolt right into the stock location of the RN75 cab / chassis frame with no problems, now whether or not the motor home companies modified anything when they put the motor home on I do not know

I replaced my tank in my 1 ton dually flatbed not to long ago with a Spectra tank the part number for it is TO8B (VIN # RN55, RN75); US Only; 2WD; From 04/86 ; w/ Fuel Inj. Check your VIN I bet it is JT5RN75XXXXXXXXXXXXXX I bought mine from rockauto.com

Yeah, I have the flatbed. was originally sold as just a cab / chassis ( cab and frame) as i think all these rigs are. somebody added the 6' x 9' Knapheide flatbed at a later date if i am not mistaken the VIN on most of these is JT5RN75XXXXXXXXXX that is a cab / chassis VIN, the MH was added later my ins. company hates that VIN, according to them Toyota never made a truck with a JT5 VIN somebody on here posted a link to a site that explains all the codes, that placard that explains the axle code is actually riveted onto the firewall, not on the door jam
-
when i ran the axle codes on my 1987 Cab/chassis it came up as a 3.90 I was under the impression that all these vehicles were sold as cab/chassis from toyota dealer, than converted to motorhomes my the MH manufacturer, or U hauls by the u haul people, and private partys bought them and put flatbeds on them, so did toyota offer multiple gearing options or did the MH and U haul people change the gearing

What's your rig and where's it at?

Well I do not own a motorhome, but I have a 1987 Toyota 1 ton Cab/Chassis with a 9x6 Knapheide flatbed on it, I recently cleaned up the bed and applied POR15 coating to it, installed Trex decking, put new Hankook 185R14 tires on it. I browse this site alot and love all the good info on it . I try to contribute info where I can. i am just north of Seattle in Everett -

I used these guy's, they are just over $70 ea + shipping, put 6 of them in the shopping cart and get a shipping quote http://www.onlinetir...08+n%252Fa.html than go to discount site, here is link. you need to change the "area selected" at the top to your zip code, it is set for Seattle right now. the Seattle price is $97ea, if you look just under the $97 there is a " found it lower? let us know icon to click on. make sure you change the location at top to your area as the icon goes direct to the store nearest you http://www.discountt...|98203&pc=11011

I just had 6 Hankook 185R14 tires installed on my rig from Discount tires $557.45 out the door, what I did was find the cheapest place to buy them online, than went to discount website there is a " found it lower" icon to click and you fill in the price and place where you found the tires at the low price and they will match it, I found my tires for $75ea + shipping, so Discount will charge you that shipping fee also, than the mount and balance and local sales tax, anyway it all came to $557.45, I was happy

I recently purchased a aftermarket 17 gallon tank for my 1 ton Dually flatbed, I priced out a sending unit and fuel pump bracket assy from these guys http://www.1sttoyotaparts.com the sending unit is P/N 8332039446 and is $71.26 the pump bracket that holds the pump and screws down to the tank is P/N 23206-35050 and is $167 I have searched high and low for these aftermarket and have had no luck, The above mentioned place is a local Toyota dealer here in Wa that sells parts online and is always lower in price than other Toyota dealers in my area

Those are pretty spendy prices on that link, I just bought the TO-8B 17 gallon tank from Rock Auto for $165 + $20 shipping for my 87 RN75 dually

Hello new guy here, I was lurking (browsing) this site last night in hopes to find some info on tires for my newly purchased 1987 Toyota 1 ton flatbed with full floater dually , with help from this site it appears the tire I need is a 185r14. So i researched the tire and found this info and feel a need to pass it along. The Yokohama tires for $79 seem to be a good price in my opinion http://ssl.delti.com/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco...=&s_p=index click the view tire button on bottom of page
