  1. No first post he says he put that fan where his roof top ac unit used to be. I can deal with ugly as long as it's in the bathroom Linda
  2. Maybe for bathroom use but at 188 CFM it doesn't compare with the Maxxfan vent I posted. It moves 500CFM on low and 900CFM on high. Add to that it can be used while moving and doesn't require those ugly permanent roof covers to use in the rain. Mine is 8 years old and still works perfectly. Linda S
  3. I have a powered vent similar to this one in my bathroom. I found it on ebay for 22 dollars. I find it doesn't have enough fan power to really move air in the whole Rv. Where my AC used to be I have a Maxxfan vent. Huge fan blade and moves tons of air. Costs more but worth it. Also doesn't need an extra vent cover to use in the rain. Vent cover is built in and becomes flush with roof when closed http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/rv-vents/maxx-air-maxxfan.htm Linda S
  4. When it comes to a super customized rig it's got to be about the rig not the money. If you watch those Rv shows on the travel channel people drop millions into them to have them just the way they want them. One couple paid over 50 grand to update a Spartan trailer. There's a company in Florida that redoes the GMC coaches and sells them for 200 grand plus and I heard they have a waiting list of people who want them. Doesn't matter if it's a Sunrader or a vintage Packard. It's a classic Linda S
  5. Sounds good. They were just talking about 3.4 swaps on the toyota-campers site but the guy they posted there wasn't interested in swapping out the 4 bangers for the 3.4. Only 3.0 to 3.4. I already posted your guys. Since we keep these rigs long after they were ever expected to last, engine swaps are far more in demand than most motorhomes. Yours is certainly a gem Linda S
  6. What are the dimensions of your lock. There are quite a few modern locks that seem to be the same shape and size. http://www.dyersonline.com/ap-products-chrome-travel-trailer-lock-fastec.html http://www.dyersonline.com/fastec-black-travel-trailer-lock-with-deadbolt.html Tons more on ebay but just an example Linda S
  7. I hate it when companies do that. You'd think they would update and stop all the calls. Linda S
  8. New tumblers are available for your keeler lock. Too many people restoring old Airstreams for someone to not make a replacement http://www.vintagetrailersupply.com/Keeler_Lock_Cylinder_p/vts-299.htm Linda S
  9. I had a terrible vibration in mine and had it checked out by the top rated frame shop in my area. They found nothing. Had all the tires rebalanced at wheel works. Well I finally took the rear wheels off myself and what do you know. One of them was no longer round. The belts had separated from the tire. No one else had a clue. After spending way too much money all I needed was a new tire. Problem fixed. I made wheel works give me my money back. Linda S
  10. It certainly doesn't look like it but Roxanne's is a 4x4 and I don't know if they used the same huge Bargman unit on hers as they did on my 2wd. Sounds like she had to cut more space open to fit these in. All I know is mine is much bigger than anything I can currently buy. Just checked on another site. The tail lights that Roxanne removed were Monarch and they were only 14 3/4 inches wide. Thats why this LED bargman fit and she did have to cut the hole bigger. Sunrader used many different kinds of stuff in their rigs. Not always standard Linda S
  11. Will these work? http://www.toplinemfg.com/html/rv-lockingfoldinglegs.html Linda S
  12. Yes the old ones are much wider. I always thought if mine needed to be replaced I would make a frame out of white plexiglass to fill in the extra space. That bargman is the closest your going to get but you still need to fill the gaps with something Linda S

It's an '86 shorty Sunrader No It's a Nissan truck. The camper manufacturer has nothing to do with the workings of the cab Linda S
  14. Ya know I've heard about the 26 gallon optional tank for years but this is the first time I have ever seen one. Looks pretty simple. Someone posted a diagram of what it was supposed to be some time ago and it looked to have all kinds of angles and cut outs. Instead just a big rectangular tank. It looks so deep. I'm amazed it clears the ground. Sounds like a good option for repairing it but there is another company that makes a 26 gallon tank. They just don't like to sell them for motorhome use. Can't paste a link on this computer but it's northwest metal products that makes the tank Linda S
  15. Send him the link to the autotrader scam warning site and see what he says. My guess is you won't hear from him again Linda S
  16. To my knowledge there are no problems with the Astro basedTiger motorhomes axles. I own one of those and belong to the group for them. Never heard of axle problems. Astro based Tigers are only 16 ft long though and pretty light. As far as Stamars comment about break downs and bad fuel economy no experience with that either. Run forever with little problems and get almost as good mileage as my tiny Sunrader 4 banger but way more power. Handles very well too. They continued to make them until Chevy stopped making the Astro. Lots of people miss them. Way worse mileage on the full sized trucks they use now Linda S
  17. There was no fix for the S10 Sunrader. You notice there were only 8 vehicles involved. Sunrader bought most of those back and destroyed them. Only 2 survived that I know of. I would imagine Dolphin did the same because they were very responsible in responding to recalls Linda S

I don't think anyone here knows what your talking about. Toyota's don't ding. I did a search on the web for problems with Nissan's dinging sounds and could find nothing. You should check a nissan site and see if they know what it is Linda Maybe door not shut all the way? Seat belt not on? Some kind of warnig bell that mine doesn't have
  19. National Rv was the only rv manufacturer that made a serious effort to replace the rear axles. I can imagine it must have been a nightmare for them because they also sold the most toyota rv's. I have seen some 4x4 sunraders upgraded to danas because toyota never made a fix for the 4x4's but never a regular motorhome. Pretty sure it was dana 60's they used Linda S
  20. This recall predates any full floaters on any Toyota motorhomes so I don't think it has anything to do with Dana's. More likely a problem with the wheels they made the fake duallies out of. No full floaters until 1986 and no recall on the bad ones until 1992 Linda S Oh and all the axles shipped out by National Rv, Dolphin came straight from Toyota. That's why they closed out their 1 ton cab and chassis line. Cost them too much to deal with
  21. Those Rv's were made by Aerolite in 1986 and 1987 only. The pics of the one you posted were of one that sold on ebay for over 10 grand. More than I have ever seen one sell for. Scammers love ebay pics Linda S
  22. Yup gone. There are some dealers who still have a few left. There were some lenses on ebay. I bought 2 cause they don't last forever. I know we call that the new one but you need to remember the new one came out in 1987. I just don't think they realized so many Toyota motorhomes with those parts were still on the road. Email Bargman and complain. I did. http://www.bargman.com/content/contactus.aspx Linda S
  23. No I think we pretty much confirmed on the Toyota-campers site that the mythical axle was just the 5 lug axle with an adapter of some sort adding the extra bolts. They are seen most often on Huntsman motorhomes and my friend Mark just went through hell when his axle failed on a trip on his 85 Huntsman. 85 is the year they were supposedly available. What ever the set up was it apparently didn't work Linda S
  24. Here's instructions for self diagnosing your ECU http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/21-ecu-self-diagnostics-for-87-95-pathfinder/ My seat flips forward to get access Linda S
