Gerard H
Hey guys, as we are going up hills our temperature gauge tends to go up the the red fairly quickly. I am not pushing the gas too hard. Any tips and suggestions how I can fix it ? On the flat ground the temperature is great ! I m driving 91 Toyota dolphin.
linda s
Buy a radiator. I flushed mine several times and thought it was fine but still got too hot. Infrared therm test show it was too cool all across the middle so it wasn't working to capacity. New one and never gets hot. I like the CSF all metal ones. This is a really good price for a 3 row one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Radiator-3-Row-All-Metal-CSF-2056-fits-88-95-Toyota-Pickup/182489128388?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D40130%26meid%3D5327f8293100415bba4eb13ed55db43f%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D371697625153 Linda S

Before you run and replace your radiator, make sure that you're not leaking coolant, and make sure that your water pump hasn't failed (look @ the weep hole) - either of these things could cause what you've described Edited May 26, 2017 by 256bit
Bob C
Are you leaving the gearshift in overdrive and lugging the engine? That can cause heat buildup. I downshift and let the engine rev up to 4500 rpm's or so.
