  1. Deedles when it is pulled out it goes about half way under the bed cushions. It pulls out 18 inches and i had a cusshion made to fit. Yes it could be cut off by the passenger side maybe a foot and you would still have plenty of room for sleeping. This would also make it so that you could leave it in the out position and still get in and out of the motorhome. I have a 92 Warrior so my cabover bed area is plenty tall. The wife and i can sit up when we are in bed. Eddie in Texas
  2. I have the Shademaker bag awning and the optional add a room. We cook under the awning when need be. Also if the weather is nice our boys stay in the add a room on a large air matress. Eddie in Texas
  3. The extension goes about half way under the cushions. The wife and i have used it about 5 times now and we love it. It is like sleeping in a king size bed! It is fully carpeted. I did this so while sliding it in during the day and out during the night the carpet keeps from scratching or tearing anything up. Eddie in Texas
  4. Hello Ron 'n Sue, Yes the coach battery should charge the house battery while driving down the road. The two cables in the battery compartment go under the coach up to the fire wall to a cylinoid. This cylinoid should be under your hood on the passenger side fire wall.

  5. We have a '92 Warrior (or '91 depending on where you look). One question we haven't been able to resolve is whether the coach battery charges the house battery when you are driving. Don't think so, as the manual seems to indicate no connection. Anybody know for sure? And how to find out.

  6. Got the AC cover off last night and it was dirty. Blew it out with air compressor then sprayed it down with 409 cleaner. I let the cleaner stay on for about 30 min and then washed it off with water hose. Tonight i will reinstall the covers and start up the roof air unit for testing. I think anybody that has purchased a toyhome in the last 6 months to a year should do this. From the outside everything looked good but once the cover was off this thing hasnt been cleaned in some time. Hopefully she will blow colder now! Eddie in Texas
  7. Okay thanks guys for the advice. I think i will take all covers off and clean the condenser and evaporator coils on the roof top unit this week and then run the ac unit for a coup;e of hours and see what she does. Eddie in Texas
  8. Floor looks nice! The wife and i want to replace our carpet with a wood floor this winter. I like to do some hunting and the wood floor i think would be much better as you can just sweep it out and take a wet cloth to it. Do you worry about taking the old carpet out from under the cabinets or just cut it along the old cabinets? Once the new wood floor is down and the trim is on you would not see any of the old carpet under the cabinets...... Also once you cut out all the old carpet do you put anything under the new wood floor? Eddie in Texas
  9. John, I have been watching your progress all the way through. Your ride sure has turned out nice. I wish i had the time to make a big trip like you are getting ready to do. The kids are to young for me to take off for to long. Maybe one day. The wife and i are talking about maybe a longer trip up to the mountains next year from down here in Texas. Anyway i hope you and your wife have fun. Let me ask you a question on AC. I have been noticing that my truck AC is not cooling as good when running down the highway. When you are sitting still at an idle it seams to blow cold but once the motor is working say in a strong head wind out od overdrive running at 60 it doesnt cool very good. I took it in and had it recharged last week before our trip to the Nascar races. They vacumed the system and recharged it and added some die. ANyway on the way to the races it worked fine had a south wind pushing me all the way. But on the way home fighting a 25 to 30 head wind the ac seamed to stop cooloing as good again. Do you think this sounds like a vaccume line? I thought i would take it back and have them check and see if they can find a leak with the die the put in the system. If it did have a leak i would have thought it would last longer than the one trip after a charge befoe it stopped cooling good. Eddie in Texas
  10. The last couple of times that we have been out in the 92 warrior i have been watching the roof AC. On the last travel trailer i owned if you turned the dial to the coldest position the roof AC would freeze. So on the Toy i had it dialed in just under full blast but to me this was not cold enough. On my Toy i had the roof AC set at the low fan speed and the dial turned all the way to the coldest setteing during the Nascar Races this past weekend. I clipped a temp gauge on the vent to watch and see what the temp is doing because to me it should be getting colder?? Okay so when the compressor kicks on the temp gauge drops down to 60 degrees. Once the compressor kicks back off the temp gauge will rise up to between 65 and 70 maybe a little hotter. My question should the air temp coming out of the unit be colder than 60 degrees when the compressor is running? I would think it should be down around 40 degrees. Does it sound like my roof AC needes recharging or what? I want to get this fixed before the heat of summer. You would think with these little toys the AC would be able to freeze you out if it is turned to the coldest position.
  11. I just had to replace my city water fill last week. I have learned from doing work on my toy that everytime you take a srew out it will not go back in the same hole and snug up as well. What i have done is put a little liquid nail on the screw and then break off a couple of tooth picks in the hole. Then screw the screws back in with the liquid nail on them. Once that dries it doesnt back out. Seams to work pretty good. Eddie in Texas
  12. John your welcome. One thing i am going to do that you might want to do as well is: build a couple of U shaped brakets to mount on the side of my motorhome. Then drill a hole in the feet of the awning legs. This way you can take the awning legs and put them into the bracket and inset a pen to hold the leg in place. If you are camping and can not stake down the awning leg you could then use the brackets on the side of the RV. This might lower the height at the end of the awning a little but i think it will work. I hope you get what i am trying to say here...... Eddie in Texas.
  13. Hi,

I have actually only had mine for about 6 months. Its a 92 with 52K on the mileage. It was a very clean unit and had been kept in a barn all of its life. For this all decals and everything on the outside is perfect. The inside is in great shape as well. They are fun RV's to own and because of size not to much up keep. Enjoy your new toy and maybe i'll see you on the road one da...

  14. Hello! We just purchased a 93 Warrior.....will be picking it up in CT next weekend! pretty excited! How long have you had yours?

  15. I will be running the genny that is attached to my front bumber. I wanted to carry at least an extra 5 gallon can to refill with if need be. David do you have a few pictures of the can and holder that you made. That is the idea that i have as well. I thought i would build something here at my shop. Does the gas can have to be a metal one or can i take the 5 gallon plastic one i already have for my lawn mowers? Eddie in Texas
