  1. Replaced the isolator (found out you have to disconnect both batteries or you get a shock lol my bad) now it's charging both batteries YEAH!!! Thanks fo r the info guys.
  2. So with my rig it seems the Coach battery is charging but not the truck battery is that still an isolator problem?
  3. You could always try to fix your. One thing that I've seen work is remove it and place it upside down for 48 hours re invert let sit another 8 and it may work again. Also check the burners it could be a simple repair/fix and save yourself alot of money.
  4. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/ant/rvs/3992693683.html Can't figure out what it is but it looks pretty neat anyone know?
  5. California has the same law CVC 22400, gotta be carefull but it's something you could talk your way out of as long as you aren't a jerk to the cops. And remember don't fight them tell them no and if they insist let them you can beat them in court it's easier then getting beaten at the scene.
  6. I love my dolphin but I do wish it was an auto. pulling up onto leveling blocks, large hills in campgrounds, I think if I ever got another I'd look for one with an auto transmission and eat the 1-2 mpg difference.
  7. Also could be the water in the battery, if it's not sealed it my just need some distilled water to be fine again.
  8. Neat toy but I still use a filter allowes me to fill from just about any water source (yes even public sprinklers but I don't recomend it lol) Cheap and easy to use. http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/water-thief/4690
  9. Wife and I are 31 nought our Toy about three years ago and use her as often as we can.
  10. I wish I had an atwood then lol but I have a suburban which uses a rod as it's not an aluminum tank like an atwood. Yeah the odor and taste get bad if I don't flush it every 3 months with peroxide. So that's why I'm trying to figure out which rod is best but no one can seem to tell me, (dealer suggested just replace the tank for about $400 but I didn't like that idea).
  11. What about a motorcycle ramp they would hold the weight be prefab and easy to use harbor tool and freight sells a nice 30" one for about a hundred http://www.harborfreight.com/1200-lb-capacity-convertible-aluminum-loading-ramp-94057.html
  12. You could replace your top light with one of these and they make a fan that plugs into it, very simple to do and would make the outlet near the loft. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-RV-Camper-12V-2-Bulbs-Interior-Light-w-Accessory-Plug-FREE-SHIPPING-/121096008930?pt=Motors_RV_Trailer_Camper_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c31e274e2&vxp=mtr
  13. Ok so my anode rod isn't dead yet I just drained and flushed my water heater tank like I do every year or so but I'm thinking about changing types. I have the magnesium one and was thinking of swapping to a zinc one I'm told it will be beter in my system and keep the water smelling beter longer. They say they will fit but they look very short compaired to my current one. I also thought about the aluminum one but not sure the benefits of that. Any thoughts or ideas?
  14. The three bigest things in boosting the power in my 82 were 1 spark plugs changed, 2 Fuel filter changed 3. the bigest improvement was when I switched to a K&N filter for the intake. A webber would also give you more power but it's expensive and can make it illegal in some states.
  15. Not everyone will take it but if you can work it out with them alot of times you can use paypal which adds an extra level of protection to you both.
  16. I've been looking for my old friend the mooney doll but haven't seen one since I was in high school lol.
  17. My coach is named Jitters, the first time driving her I was shaky and so was she along with all the new rattles it was a scarey ride, we joked she had the jitters and so did I from driving her so that's what we named her.
  18. Do the sinks and toilet not work? If not the valve may be bad if the water stuff works the rubber o ring at the plug in is probably bad. Also check the winterizing valve.
  19. I have an 83 Dolphin and my converter doesn't charge and isn't supposed to I have to run a battery charger on a splitter from my shore power but I'm fine with it one less thing to break (and when it does I'm only out $20).
  20. I work nights so I leave home at aroud midnight and drive for a couple hours and then stop at a rest stop to sleep. I then get up around 9am so there's no traffic when I drive I get to places around noon which is check in time and feel much more rested then leaving early and fighting traffic or at night and paying for an extra night in a campground..
  21. I'm looking into this myself to make camping more convenient (like the always seeming oops I forgot something and need to run to the store). I'm toying with welding a hitch on the back or front then buying a small scooter or a trail 90 and a hitch carrier seems easier then buying a small trailer. Does anyone have any pics of motorcycles/scooters they carry and how to do it?
