    • Life really has a way of getting in the way of things. šŸ˜… a lot has happened, but a lot of progress has been made!

The toilet just snaps into its place, only took a little bit of a tug to get it out of the way. Super easy to access the two bolts after that. Had the same big black ring as others have mentioned, mine came off without any crazy hammer and chisel work. The only other thing holding the bathroom in place was the p-trap from the drain to the tank.Ā

I have the coach gutted down to the fiberglass and the floor is not the condition we were hoping for. Bowing and cracking at the back, and a good chunk of rot over the cab. I live in the PNW so those repairs will have to wait until spring.Ā

It has thankfully been dry enough out here so far that I could start work on filling in some of the holes left from the appliances. Fiberglass work is not easy to do well. My heart goes out to everyone who’s tread here before me. A ton more appreciation for projects like Doug’s šŸ˜Ā IMG_0792.jpeg.43c584154dab4b3332a5b84341fe6d3a.jpegIMG_0793.jpeg.cd83b48fbbcac87a54b09785bf347a43.jpeg

I’m working on an almost non existent budget, and the results definitely reflect that. I used bondo brand resin and fiberglass from lowe’s for the fill, and went with the ā€œfor saleā€ sign wrapped in plastic as the mold. With better care in setup, and maybe loose fiberglass instead of a weave I think this method could be worth considering.Ā

    • Had such a great time I am headed up again today! This time with our son as my wife is at a meeting.

    • Looks like an amazing trip and a well-deserved payoff after the long remodel!! You’ve got a really great rig there, Doug—whole lot of benefits to these sturdy little RVs, really, if you don’t need tons of space and don’t mind the slightly slower pace of travel. And it’s a blast to find ways to make them better, update systems and conveniences etc, like you’ve done. Enjoy!! šŸ‘šŸ¼

(Baking the pizza while driving made me chuckle—I’d get a huge kick out of that myself: fun times.)
