bufbooth
Just taking a guess here....verify that your heater air intake and exhaust vent are not clogged, poor (or no) air movement could be a problem. Also, on my heater I have a gas shut off valve next to the heater, about 6 to 8 inches away, if you have one and it is only turned on half way, you will not be getting the full gas flow. Dennis... DanAatTheCape
I would check for airflow, and then check the orifice. If someone has derated the unit for high altitude (by installing a jet with a smaller orifice) or the orifice is partially blocked, then at lower altitude you could get luke warm. T.A.J.
Hi Traderbob. I bought a 1982 Dlophin last summer in excellent shape. Every thing worked great except the furnace would not put out much heat. We checked and tried all the things mentioned in the other responses to no avail. I found that it put out good heat when plugged into an exterior source. I put new batteries in and have had more heat than needed since. Troy from Mont.
