kosterd
I was curious about the charging of the house battery in my 1991 Warrior. When plugged into house current it is charging at 13.7. After disconnecting the house current and starting the engine the house battery is not charging at all. The engine battery is charging to about 15. Is this an indication that my isolater is not working? And about the 40amp fuse push button, I can't find that anywhere. The battery compartment is a small plastic box next to the bottom of the door and there is nothing looking like a push button in there. And in the engine compartment I don't see a "rear panel" that would hold the fuse. I must be looking in the wrong places? So as it stands, I can't count on the engine recharging the house battery. I have to be plugged into AC to charge the house battery. I hope this makes sense. I am not that adept at electrical. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. Dean K. zero
Sounds like your isolator is not working. It is there to connect the engine's alternator to the "house" battery whenever the engine is running. Voltage should be at least 13.8 volts and usually more like 14 volts. kosterd
With the help of Tika I think I have determined that it is indeed the isolator. I ordered the same type of isolator on Amazon. Thanks. dean
