Headliner repair

The headliner in my toyota mirage is sagging. The foam backing on the material has rotted away. I came accross a product called Rustoleum Vertical Restore for decking, walls, basements, etc. It rolls on like paint but is 10 times thicker and has a texture to it. I thought about taking the headliner completely out and just using this vertical restore product. Was wondering if anyone has used this product before or if you know of a good product I could use?

I've used spray on adhesive to keep headliner in place.

Try the glue website: http://www.thistothat.com/ for advice. I think they reccomend 3M77 Spray on.

Thanks for the ideas....I will definately look into the closed cell foam, I've used it for shelf liner in my kitchen cabinets, etc...also use it for rug backing to prevent slipping...And if paintable i'm very interested!!!!
