Wondering if anybody has done any performance mods to improve performance and/or gas milage on the 1991 V6 Toys? (Mine is a Dolphin). I know the 4x4 crowd has tons of things they do but since this is a different application I thought I'd inquire here first.

Thanks in advance!

When you're adding up the costs of potential mods, I'd be sure to compare them to the cost of a 3.4 V6 swap.

I'd hate to part with this motor so young... I only have 77k on it. When she dies I'm hoping for a Helix 1/2 clip for a Diesel upgrade :weight_lift:

I guess in the end even with mods it's still only a 3 liter engine it never ceases to amaze that these little engines get the job done all be it slowly! Nothing beats displacement for a truck guess that's why long haul truck engines displace cubic feet! Usually you have to give up mileage for performance.

As long as this engine has been around is there no small turbo or mild supercharger add on ??

If you don't go too far you wouldn't have to lower the compression / change cams. I seem to remember 30 years ago a lot of the voltswagon car owners I knew were doing this. If done properly they had no problems passing California smog, at that time.
