86rader Posted October 28, 2012 Share Posted October 28, 2012 I have used tarps the past few years. The first few I just strapped it down. The trouble with that is water puddles in places and tarps are water resistant, but, not waterproof. Last year I made a sawhorse type thing and tented the tarp over it, but, it was a PITA. This year I have my Odyssey and an 18 ft Sunrader visitor. I put my canoe on the roof of the odyssey and tarp over it. Easy to do and I think it will work great. The Sunrader due to vent locations is kind of tricky, but, I came up with something I have considered trying for a while. I got a 4x8 ft blow up vinyl balloon which is used with above ground pool covers. The balloon is soft enough that it can be laid directly over the vent cover without damaging and it tents the tarp very nicely. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
