Replace or Ignore My Torn Suspension Air Bags?

Recommended Posts

The vehicle is a '91 Odessey, with 50,000 miles. (Yep - it sits a lot!) One air bag is torn, so I don't add air. A mechanic suggested that I should be very leary of carrying weight without good bags. Is this true, false, or are there other factors in the decision to spend money on this?

Thanks,

Bill

I would like to know where you bought your airbags at that cost on ebay. I have a toyota dolphin 1990 . one air bag has a slow leak. do you know if they were manufactured with air bags or is it an add on?

I replaced both of mine which were dry rotted. I bought a different brand on ebay for $100 or a little more for the pair. I have the guys phone # if you want to replace yours. Let me know. Matt

Sestone;

Check your connections and tubes. I have an 88, the bags were OK but the tubes were dry and brittle. I replaced the tubes and fixtures for about $30, The bags have been holding 60 psi now for about 6 months.
