joe36535
Went to a sweet local park and got to check out all the auto and house functions....all is well there. I did see why there's a lot of talk of larger gas tanks...not used to watching the gauge go down so quickly. Probably getting 12 mpg. also see that insulation wasn't great in these rigs. But, at the price i paid and the shape its in , i'm thrilled and sure we'll have many years of fun with it. Going to Biloxi next weekend ...shepard state park...supposed to be near 70 so wahooo!!! spring is almost here.

Allot depends on the terrain, head and side winds etc. I think everyone except Sunraders have 1 inch thick walls and a 2 inch thick roof. Some have foam core and some are fiberglass insulation. The Sunraders have no insulation. Windows are a big heat loss. Good window coverings really help. Also the transition between the cab and coach. A heavy blanket across that area will do wonders. Another spot is your roof vents. A thin piece of plastic between you and the cold world above. They make insulation inserts for the vents. Also check your seal around the door. After 20 years they can be real leakers. Spring was early here, we had 70's for two weeks. Had snow Saturday though! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wu6DW2nseh8&hd=
