Canadian built Toyota motorhomes

Good Day Everyone! I'm a newbie on this site, just joined today. I live on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.

I've owned for post-1830-1217708114_thumb.jpgpost-1830-1217708186_thumb.jpg2.5 years, a 1984 Toyota Okanogan 20 Ft 4cyl. 4speed manual transmission mini-RV which was built in Abbotsford, BC; a suburb of Vancouver. The other manufacturer of Toyota RV's in BC was Slumberqueen.

My unit has a 2-4 person kitchen table at the rear of the unit that makes into a bunk bed with the main bed above the cab of the truck. It has a 4 burner gas stove with an oven, fridge, sink, bathroom with a shower and flushing toilet. The entry door is on the right front side, next to passenger cab door.

On the other hand the RV unit built by slumberqueen which was a 1982 RV unit had a rear passenger side entry door with the kitchen table in the middle of the unit, no bathroom/shower-only a porta-potty and a 2 burner stove-no oven, fridge, sink. It was only 17ft long.

I have a pic of it which I will try to post for all to view.

Enjoy everyone. I know, we all love our TOY RV.

MJ.

Hi MJ,

Always ready to welcome more Toy owners wherever they are! Bet you have some gorgeous places to enjoy on Vancouver Island, BC with your cute Toy. Take good care of it and let us know about your travels. I (Di) visited VI several years ago, it was beautiful with great summer weather.

Charles & Dianne....1984 Dolphin (soon to have 6 lug rear axle completed...yea!!)

Thanks compadres for your comments. We went up Island last week from Victoria and up to Campbell River along the East Coast of the Isle. We stayed at Miracle Beach Provincial Campground. It was enjoyable. It was our 1st trip this year for OUr BABY TOY. She purred like a kitten with her 59,000 KMs on the Odometer. Only took of couple of pics of hand carvings in Campbell River. I'll have to download them & upload a few on here. Take care everyone. Be SAFE out there. Have FUN.

MJ
