halonut
Hello, The mechanical pump on my Onan 3.0 took a dump & I'm wondering if I can replace it with an low pressure electric pump and if so what output PSI should the electric be? Also how should I wire it? Should it be wired to the start/stop circuit so it comes on when it cranks and runs & then shuts off when I turn the switch to stop? Thanks! Tom W
The 2cyl Onan on a welder I have I put a kit(diaphrams) in the fuel pump mechanical. The gen in the MH Kohler uses a electric pump very small inline when I shut it off I hear it run for a few seconds I would check with a small eng Shop or search on line,I can see one advantange with the Mechanical when the eng stops it stops ,elec ? maybe low oil cutoff involved.
