rabbit
Greetings, I just purchased an 84 New Horizon motorhome and an in the process of learning and repairing. 1st issue after removing the carpet I found a spongy fiberglass floor. It is not pleasant. I'm thinking about adding extra layers of underlayment and putting in pergo flooring. Does anyone have better ideas. Iflyfish
See my post on using epoxy and wood filler. I have a link to video showing the process. Basically it involves drilling holes in 1-2" squares and filling with epoxy then hammering dowels into the holes which you cut off after the epoxy hardens. Worked great in my unit. Hope this helps. Iflyfish
I found the post: Posted June 12, 2017 I went online to find a way to reinforce/repair weak floor in my '87 Sunrader. I ran into this excellent YouTube site where the process is demonstrated. Essentially it involves drilling holes in the existing flooring, injecting an epoxy every 6", pounding dowels into the holes to compress epoxy, then cutting off dowels. This method worked great! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-LIZN-Dtak Day 1 Flooring kit Pro Ebay https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HnK2X1EfF8https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HnK2X1EfF8 Day 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFvx26P6fFs Drilling the floor I am very pleased with the outcome!
