    Battery

Would any of the fuses underneath the dash in the truck cab have anything to do with this. The last time I drove it the fuse blew for the running lights and the dash lights this fuse was only a month or two old so I think there might be something causing all this perhaps they're related

Thanks, yeah I tested it with the engine running and it's 15 coming from the truck battery 15 coming out of the alternator to the isolator and then the isolator wires going to the house battery 7. This still doesn't solve my Shore power charging problem I don't think

Sorry, same same meaning I checked the isolator with it plugged in and not plugged in however the engine wasn't running. It's beginning to rain quite hard here so I'm going to postpone this till later thanks I'll try the test with the engine running and check back with you

Same same. Should I check isolator with engine running?

I checked the isolator, 12 v coming from alternator wire to isolator, 7v going to house battery from isolator, is isolator bad? Does it have anything to do with shore power charge system?

1984 Horizon coach won't charge with shore power or alternator. Fuses are all good. Not sure what to check next
  7. I just bought an 84 New Horizon and not sure the fuel gauge works. Does anyone know what the normal size is on this and the expected mpg. The 22R was rebuilt with larger cylinders to accommodate a 5th gear. So mileage is less than normal, maybe around 12 or 13 mpg. Another complication is the dash cluster was installed from a newer Toyota to have better gauges so my odometer is reading not accurate. Anyhoo, mainly want to know what the tank capacity is. Thanks
  8. OK, but is there a way to bypass the 120 just to pump from holding tank while not hooked up to an external water source. I am planning on spending most of the winter inside and won't be able to keep a hose from freezing. I will be connected to electricity to keep all from freezing inside.
  9. Hello, I have a 84 New Horizon and am wondering why my water pump only works from the battery and not when I'm hooked to power. Is there yet another part I need to buy.
  10. Looks really nice! My floor is only greenish old spongy fiberglass, no wood.
  11. Greetings, I just purchased an 84 New Horizon motorhome and an in the process of learning and repairing. 1st issue after removing the carpet I found a spongy fiberglass floor. It is not pleasant. I'm thinking about adding extra layers of underlayment and putting in pergo flooring. Does anyone have better ideas.
