The only thing that seems do have disconnected is a nut holding a bolt for the idler arm.

Update to condition of front end rebuild. The idler arm came loose. What side of the bolt should the washers install?Ā

They got the guy. I was on the phone with dispatch while I tracked the truck in real time because he had his iPhone next to the air tag. It was wild we confronted him and he wouldnāt leave, the cops came and got him.Ā

My rig was stolen a few weeks ago. I got it back 2 hours later because I had an Apple air tag in it They pulled the back door out of the trim and wiggled in. They started it with scissors formed in the shape of the key. I canāt put my key in now, I have to use the scissor to start it.

For now Iām just going to replace the pan gasket to see if it leaks less, then try to find the vent plug.

When you say āopening the trans to replace itā would you say itās possible to get to it by just draining and removing the pan or actually opening the whole dang thing?
Will the vent plug be similar to the vent plug on the differential? -
The middle is round and metal. The surrounding feels like rubber.

Transmission has had a leak ever since I bought it. Iām trying to find out where itās coming from. What is this that I have circled, a gasket or a bushing? How do I remove it?

It has to be 2 inches exactly, the muffler I posted wonāt work?

First pic is inlet, second pic is outlet. The thing Iām confused about is the inlet size of the muffler which has 2.625 inch inside diameter. Would the 2.5 inch clamp be too small?

Looking to buy this muffler. Do I buy the 2.5 and 2.75 diameter clamps?

Got it all off! Used cutting tool, hammer and chisel. Any suggestions for type of muffler? My nephew loves helping out!

Muffler needs to be replaced. Cut it off today. Hope I didnāt mess up. Should I try to remove the weld and reuse the pipes?

Got it done. Not as high as I would like. Probably add the overload in the future.

I just donāt want to get into this job more than I already have. Iām gonna return the airbags, set the truck and see how it rides. If Iām not happy I will add the overloads like WME suggested, and if thatās still not enough I will go for the Ride Control air bags or something that is closer to the size of the T-9. Iāve done a lot to this truck so far and I donāt want to go down the road of metal work. I appreciate all the input everyone had included on this job and this site. Thanks to all yāall!

Did you use OME overloads??
The OEM airbags were a crutch to help the springs. The OME are stiffer than the originals ever were.

I have not set the truck on the ground. What are oem overloads? Are you saying since they are stiffer why bother with airbags? I have until March 17 to return.

what should I do about this? The rubber boot is busted and grease is oozing out. Is it even a big deal?
