  1. This is from the instructions: The EGR heat sensor plug in the harness is where we will install a resistor. We supply two, a 10k ohm and a 5.7k Ohm. Start with the 10k resistor if the check engine light comes on switch resistor to the 5.7k Ohm. Use electrical tape to cover th e plug and resistor.
  2. Thanks I bought the kit that WME suggested to remove EGR and plug holes and it comes with 2 resistors. My plan for the coolant hoses is to plug in a barbed hose connector between them and hook them together, think that would work?
  3. I am in the same boat toybox was in, can't find that EGR valve anywhere. My Toyota has had the check engine light on since I bought it and has a misfire. I have done several things to it myself to try and fix the problem, could not do it so finally took it to a shop. They have diagnosed it as the EGR Valve and temp sensor but cannot 100 percent guarantee that's the problem. Since truck is over 25 years old I do not have to pass emissions, I just want it to run right. Guess I need to go to Toyota forum and see if I can eliminate the valve.
  4. I think I might end up using a setup like this guy did and use my tablet as the monitor.
  5. I'm following this discussion, mine came with a wired system in it but its terrible, only works half the time and when it does work the picture sucks
  6. Well I ended up getting lucky, had very little debris come out of gas tank after draining it,which shocked me after seeing the fuel filter that came off
  7. He mentioned something about a gasket for the valves, also said included idler arms & tensioner, water pump, and a couple seals, crankshaft seals I think he said. Were not messing with the timing belt just because of the valves, engine has 122,000 miles and I have no record of either ever being done.
  8. I've gotten 2 quotes, one I thought was too high {2000} and one I was very happy with {800}.This was to do timing belt, water pump and adjust valves all at the same time. thanks
  9. Is 1600 watts enough to power rooftop a/c?
  10. Also I forgot to mention I cannot find any other components that look like they are missing lines hooked up to them.Even though the original window sticker says this was sold brand new at a Toyota dealership in Paris,Tx a sticker on the hood says this engine meets California emissions,do they all say that? So someone mentioned maybe those lines went to a smog pump?
  11. I've got a check engine light on, slowly trying to eliminate things one by one. Found this hose just laying down in the engine bay that previous owner has plugged off with 2 bolts. One has vacuum to it the other doesn't. Rather then pics, I made this video.
  12. If mine indeed does have rust in it,and I can figure out how to get it off I will try to re-seal it first, depends on how rusty it is.
  13. Looks like I might be needing a new tank also, how hard is it to drop one of these out? I did a search on here and found nothing
  14. So did it not look like the pics or the engine was blown? I see in the ad he says if he fixes it price will go up but he doesnt say what he's fixing,I wonder if he was talking about the engine or something else? He doesnt even mention engine problem in the ad,what is the engine doing?
  15. Was finally able to snap some more pics yesterday of roof
  16. Is this the product you're suggesting? http://www.snowroof.com/product_detail.asp?product_id=SR106 Thanks
  17. Thanks for reply. There is no lock tab.I looked online and one of the rv dealers near me had an online catalog of parts that looked like they might have what I need. It's my busiest time at work right now, whenever I get a chance I'm going to remove one of the old valves and take it up there and see if they can fix me up.
  18. Ok thanks.I have been told I should use a product like this to put over it,seems like a good idea, any thoughts? Anvil 400 Mobile Home & RV Roof Coating https://www.amazon.com/Anvil-Mobile-Home-Coating-Gallon/dp/B015D5I0P8
  19. Well after looking at it again{hitch}I guess you could pull a trailer if you got one of those step down tongues, but it looks to me like it wasnt installed to pull anything or they would have done it differently. It sits higher up then it appears in the pic.
  20. I think yes and no.It'd a weird hitch,it's really high, you could not pull a trailer from where that hitch is located. The hitch seems to be put on solely for a cargo carrier.I think it was added also to keep back end from scraping the ground.
