  1. Hey all, Just got 6 Hankook RA08's through Tire-Easy.com. Ordered Saturday, came Tuesday by UPS, dropped them off at my garage door. Total cost was $ 608.00 with the shipping. No tax. These are 185R14's, with Load range D. 5 of them were manufactured in May 2012, one was manufactured in Dec 2012, so fairly new tires. Now all I need to do is clean and paint my rims, and mount em up!
  2. Also, just a thought. How high should the pilot be? Mine seems to a very small flame, maybe less than quarter of an inch. Maybe it's not high enough to keep thermocouple warm?
  3. Mine's doing same thing... Runs for 30 to 45 seconds and shuts off. Changed thermocouple, no difference. What's this about a by pass? I believe thank is full, getting no air from spigots. Propane is about 1/3 full. Flame looks good when running, Tried cleaning back in as far as I could reach with a brush before starting. Could regulator be bad? Any help appreciated. By the way, it's a '92 Itasca, with an Atwood heater unit.
  4. So....my fridge RUNS on both a/c & gas, gets chimney warm, but doesn't cool the fridge. Crystalized in the lines? You saying I can take it out, run it on 110 for a while to warm coils, unplug, turn upside down, let sit for half hour. ...and it may then work? Sure sounds better than service call to a shop, or replacing it. Appreciate your help, I'm new to this RVing and my first encounter with gas/electric fridges. Just bought the home and PO tells me he hasn't even run the fridge for a few years! Yikes! Also have a problem with my furnace fan not starting, even while plugged in to 110. My interior lites won't work when on 12 v only. They do work when plugged into 110. My wall monitor doesn't function at all either way. Could there be a problem with my voltage converter, not allowing juice to those things? All fuses are good, and I've found no loose connections. Thanks for any input.
  5. Thanks John....Does the starter on the generator work off coach battery? Or truck battery? Haven't had time to check that out. It has enough juice to start the generator. Need to climb under and see where wires and lines run to, so I know this stuff. I'll get it figured out. Like to know all I can about my vehicles, so I can work on them as needed.
  6. Hi Ya'll So much lee-way on pricing and condition. depends on what you want...and what you want to pay. Just picked up 92 Itasca, 23,000 miles, V6 auto, well-kept..but needing little clean up. So far everything works, haven't tried furnace yet, but heat in the roof a/c works. Generator, micro, stove top, etc. new inspection, with good tires and brakes. Rear air bags do have slow leak, so I need to look into that, but I do most work myself as long as it's not too difficult. Guy wanted $6,500, paid him $5,900 Figure with the price, even if I need to do few small repairs I'm OK. Looking forward to getting on the road soon!
  7. As far as I can tell all locks are original, at least keys look it. Everything in fact seems original, right down to curtains and carpet. Engine seems nice and dry, no oil leaks and clean. Oil and fluids are fresh. Can't wait till it warms up so can do more with it. I've got the generator going, but it doesn't want to idle unless choke is on slightly, so I need to pull carb and clean it good. Do have one question - should interior coach lights work on 12 volt without electric shoreline plugged in? They work when plugged in to 110, but not on their own when just parked. Thanks!
  8. My daughter and family go every year to Camp Hatterras in Rodanthe. They love it, lots of activities, etc. They have a 17 year old and a 7 year old. We just got our first camper so maybe we will try to get there this year with them. Not sure of costs and stuff, but probably have a website.
  9. Hi All! Great site! We just bought our first motorhome, and went with Toyota, ...well just because we know Toyotas! We picked up a 1992 Itasca Spirit, with only 23,000 miles! It seems very well kept, previous owner bought it in early '93 with only 1,900 miles on, and has had it ever since. Everything is there, supposedly all in working order, though weather hasn't allowed us to check it all out yet. It's V6 automatic w/ overdrive and the gear selector on the dash. My wife and I celebrate 40 years this fall, and want to go "get lost" for a few weeks, then hopefully in few years retire. So we got it now to try out a few short trips this summer, then, hit the road! I know Toyota's are great (my 92 pickup has 340,000 miles on it, still gets 30 mpg and uses no oil!) Thanks for listening! Will be checking back here for any help I may need. God bless!
