My folks just gave me their '89 Dolphin, and I'm looking for some cool places to go. So here's a thread starter - Post your favorite RV camping spot! Bonus points: include a photo
I'll start with 3: a past, present, and a future (all in California)
Past: Growing up, Carpenteria State Beach was a favorite spot for my family many years in a row. No photos, but I recall lots: you can camp in lots along the border of the sandy beach, full hookups, firepits, and great boogie boarding. Bring quarters for the showers, though.
Present: More recently, Smithwoods RV Park in the Santa Cruz mountains is beautiful. Full hookups, neat little clubhouse, pool, and a short drive to a steam-powered train (Roaring Camp Railroad). Here is a photo:
Future: Planning our inaugural RV trip at Gold Country Campground Resort, including a trip into Black Chasm Cavern National Landmark.
*Edit: NOOB ALERT! Mod's please move me to the reviews section.
