  1. Your just nuts. And a whole lot paranoid

  2. My avatar is even brighter this AM. Time to go to work, work hard for America and get -r-done. There's going to be more and more states I can travel to soon enough in the old toy, will be great again!

  3. Only thing left to fix are the tank sensors. Will aluminum duct tape work to replace worn metal foil tape?

  4. how many cans of r134a to fill a 0 pressure compressor low reservoir?

Check the plate under the hood for # of ounces it uses.

Your system had r12 in it and unless you drain the compressor oil you are going to have issues if you put r134 in it. The sticker will only be half truth with r134 r12 oil and r134 oils are completely different. You'll need to check pressure against air temp to charge it properly.

it was converted, GDP had it right under hood there was a "badge" form conversion mech.. I ended up putting 4 cans in. not sure if this is right or not but thats what it took to get in the "green" zone of the trigger gun. worked all summer... just ran it again other day and its empty again. must have a leak.

  5. Just had rear axle replaced with full floater; came back and brakes have to really be pressed to get stopping... is this normal for 1 ton rear drums?

Sounds to me like the pads may have been exposed to moisture. Were they replaced with new ones? Were the drums inspected and cleaned? Go by a brake shop. And there shouldn't be any fluid, but instead a cable that engages the rear brakes.

The rear brakes may have to be adjusted (like once a year), the automatic adjusters tend to not work too well, but be careful not to over adjust them, rear drums will get hot. Also, be sure the prorational valve on the rear axle is adjusted to max, if it is not, less brake fluid goes to the rear brakes.

The 1 ton's do have hard pedal they stop fine just don't feel like it. I'll assume it's not mushy just feels like it's not doing much like bufbooth said make sure the proporsioning valve is adjusted to the max.
