You will need a new seal for the A/C. The front window, look carefully at the frame from inside. Odds are good the frame is full of water. If so, you need to drill two drain holes on the outside, one on each side. John Mc 88 Dolphin 4 Auto

I would flush the system as best you can before you start removing anything. you don't want to put on new radiator, hoses, water pump, thermostat, then stir up all the crap in the system. Removing the water pump Getting the fan clutch off can be a little tricky. remove the shroud, (if you can) The nuts on the fan clutch are probably 10mm. Use an open end wrench and just knock them loose 1/4 turn. Sometimes if you snug the fan belt real tight (pull or push on it) it will be enough to keep the pulley from spinning when you try and break the nuts loose. quick jerks or tap the wrench with a hammer or something will generally yield better results then simply pulling on the wrench. Do the same when you put it all back together, after you get the nuts on and tight, tap on the wrench to snug up the nuts. After you get the 4 nuts loose, then you can loosen up the alternator and take the belt off. With the belt off, you should be able to remove the nuts completely and the clutch and fan will come off. Remove an replace the radiator. When you remove the bolts for the waterpump. I recommend having the new pump sitting on the floor or bench. As you remove each bolt from the old pump, place it in the correct hole on the new water pump. I don't remember if the Toyota water pump has different bolt lengths, but I have run into cars that the bolts are different lengths, and if you put the wrong bolt in the wrong hole, you can do serious damage. Again, I don't remember if the 22RE is like this, but check anyway. John Mc 88 Dolphin 4 Auto

Fuel pump is in the tank. This is a photo of mine. This view is just in front of the rear passenger tire, looking up toward the top of the fuel tank. You can just make out where the fuel pump access plate is in top of the tank, thats where the hoses are connected. I suspect the return line is damaged or broken (this comes from the fuel pressure regulator and returns fuel to the tank. If it is, you should be able to repair with hose clams, etc, as its low pressure If it was the supply line, I don't think the engine would run. John Mc 88 Dolphin 4 Auto

Bob, not quite, remember, the engine is turning slower, so if the engine was turning 1/2 the rpms, and you were providing the exact same fuel charge to the cylinders, your fuel consumption would be 1/2, and your corresponding power produced would be 1/2 (not exactly 1/2 but close enough for this example. You really need a fuel flow sensor to get an accurate indication of the difference. John Mc 88 Dolphin 4 Auto

Karin, tnks, I didn't know they had re-build kits for the pump. I'll need to look into doing that with mine. John Mc 88 Dolphin 4 Auto

Heres how I did mine. I had to replace my entire fixture, as the port that the anti-siphon valve screws into was cracked and thats where the leak was. Look carefully, as a faulty anti siphon valve will leak water all over the place. It screws into the faucet, and the shower hose screws into it. http://toyotamotorhome.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=3837 John Mc 88 Dolphin 4 Auto

It should turn off when the pressure builds up, but these are known for flaky pressure switches.. Does it sound like its bogging down when all the water is off? AND, I assume your pumping water from your tank and you don't have the city water hooked up. Mine has had a bad pressure switch since I bought it. We just got in the habbit of turning the pump on and off when we need it. JOhn Mc 88 Dolphin 4 Auto

Play in the pulley doesn't sound good. If you wiggle the fan, how much does the pulley move, i.e. 1/16 inch, 1/8 inch. The pulley drives the water pump, the bearing in the water pump could be worn and causing the play, but this shouldn't be causing your heat problem, but the water pump needs to be replaced. If the fan wiggles, but the pulley isn't moving, the fan clutch could be a problem, and this could be causing you temp issues. John Mc 88 Dolphin 4 Auto

My dolphin does have a gravity fill. I also modified it with a valve so I can fill the tank while connected to the city water. The gravity is much faster, just clean the end of the hose and push it in the fill port. They also make a small hose fitting that screws on the end of a hose to do this. but I can never find it when I need to fill the tank. John Mc 88 Dolphin 4 Auto

If your plugged into shore power and operating the frig on 110 volts, check to see if the heating element is getting hot. This cover should be HOT to the touch. If its HOT, and the frig is level, thats not a good sign :-( John Mc 88 Dolphin 4 Auto

Very common to have condensation in the tail pipe. Most mufflers have a drain hole in them to drain the water, Also. we have a very long tail pipe so the exhaust gasses cool down a little and moisture condenses inside the pipe. Replace the thermostat with an OEM, probably a 180 deg. Others recommend Dealer, I recommend local auto parts store. Buy the OEM replacement.. After you put the new thermostat on, take the radiator cap off, turn the heater on max heat (this opens the valve to allow coolant to flow thru the heater core) Fill the radiator full, then get someone to rev the engine while you fill the radiator, after a minute or so of revving and filling, put the cap back on and you should be good. Mine starts getting cold in the freezer after about 30 minutes.. (the finned plate in the freezer) Make sure your frig / truck is level. I have a couple of those self adhesive bubble levels. One on the drivers door pillar above the shoulder harness (front to back) and one on the dash (side to side). When these are level, the frig is level. You might also go outside, open up the cover and take a flashlight and look up at the top of the frig. In mine the top roof vent was damaged and birds got in there and made some nests on the top of the cooling unit. John Mc 88 Dolphin 4 Auto
