  1. A couple of other thoughts: - I'm guessing that in your situation, proximity to VA hospitals would be of concern. I assume there's a list available somewhere and would be worth plotting on a map. - I believe I've read that some military installations have camping facilities attached. I don't know how 'long-term' you're allowed to stay, but could be useful for your 'dumps'. Something else worth plotting on a map.
  2. That little Winnie looks nice enough but it doesn't shout 'screaming deal' to me. be aware that it's a 'Shortie' (19ft). If I was planning to full time, an extra 2ft would be very welcome. RVers don't seem to be very big on web sites. The best I've found, in terms of information and readability, though not a Toyota: http://www.andybaird.com/travels/
  3. I'm a bit concerned with your tires (old AND new). You should be running 185R14 Load Range C or D (6 or 8 ply). I'm not aware of any manufacturer that make a Load Range C or D in the 2 sizes you mention. The load capacity of the 2 I mention are 1600lbs (@ 50psi) and 1875lbs (@65psi). I'm not sure what owners manual you're referring to, but suspect it's the Toyota Pickup one. For your other problem, I'm thinking maybe a weak fuel pump.
  4. I predict that the Kingcraft 2200 is going to be noisy. Given that it's used, it's not a screaming deal. Aldi was selling them new for $199.95.
  5. Replacement air springs can be bought individually, but first you've got to figure out what make you have installed. Are you sure it's the air springs that are leaking? Sometimes it's the air lines leading to them. Much cheaper to fix. Individual springs are ~$100, a complete kit ~$250. BTW, my '93 Warrior came equipped with Airlift (Kit #57013) installed. Yours is probably the same. Replacement springs are possibly #58105.
  6. Hah! Wait until you've got kids and a mortgage! These will be the 'good old days'!
  7. Very nice indeed. Only a few things I'd do differently, but of course you didn't build it for me! (And if you did, I'm good a faking surprise!) Could you give more details bout the "under the bench AC".
  8. BCD = Bolt Circle Diameter (i.e. the diameter the lugs are located on). But the size of the hole in the middle is important too, especially if they're 'hub centric'. Duallies generally aren't. Edit: BCD is also known as PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) by some.
  9. My best guess is that carpet for a T100 would not be a good fit in your '84 pickup.
  10. Never the 22RE in the T100.
  11. As far as I know, roof A/C is always installed in the 'standard' 14" square skylight opening. The only thing I'll add is that one manufacturer (Winnebago?) has a slightly different opening with radiused corners that need squaring off before the industry standard 14" vent will fit. If you can afford it, consider installing a 'Fan-tastic' vent with fan. http://www.fantasticvent.com/
  12. One thing to watch for is there are (I think) different calipers for the 1-Ton Single Rear Wheel truck.
  13. As I understand his message, he's saying the 1/2-Ton and 1-Ton bearings are the same and he used the best of the 2 sets he had after cleaning and repacking with grease. To do this requires removing the inner seal, so he bought a new one.
  14. Here's 1 thread (with pictures) on Yahoo:- http://autos.groups..../message/129183 Doesn't car-part.com show different calipers for a 1-Ton?
  15. Someone has, but not me. I remember whoever it was writing it up either here or in the Yahoo Group.. Didn't bookmark it since I don't have 5 lugs up front. From what I recall, i was pretty much a bolt-in installation. However, I was looking recently on the AutoZone site and they had brake pads specifically identified as '1-Ton' which would lead me to believe the calipers are different in some way. But that doesn't mean that 1/2 Ton calipers wouldn't fit.
  16. DGV = manual choke DGEV = electric choke (E = electric); DGAV = water choke (A = aqua) DFEV = electric choke (choke linkage rotates clockwise) Source:- http://www.webercarb...uretors_s/2.htm
  17. Tried www.car-part.com ?
  18. Shifter location was my 2nd guess. I've a Camaro 3.4 V6 and T5, hopefully going in to an MGA. Need the 60* to help with the width issue. And 180HP should be enough in 2000lb!
  19. Why the S-10 tranny? Lower 1st gear? You might find some useful info here:- http://www.britishv8.org/index.htm Not Toyotas, but lots of swaps of big engines into small spaces.
