  1. If you want to add some colour:- https://www.bobdrake.com/Categories7.aspx?Id=fenderwelting
  2. The recall documentation made no mention of length or weight being the problem. Only the 'foolies' installed.
  3. Though belts can certainly make a noise when slipping, I know that I wouldn't use the words 'high pitched whistle' to describe any I've heard. But easy enough to check them.
  4. It might also be worth looking on www.car-part.com for the 1-Ton DRW rear axle. They might have been too lazy to list the wheels separately.
  5. Don't forget some fresh flowers, mood music and her favorite adult beverage waiting inside.
  6. I've yet to see anywhere in print (from Toyota) saying to repack the rear bearings at any interval. Only the front. That said, it certainly wouldn't smart not to do so any time you're doing other work back there!
  7. Licensed/taxed as a motorcycle and sidecar. Much (relatively) cheaper than a car. A cars 'Road Tax' back in the 70s was 25 Pounds. Back then, that was a weeks salary for many. I don't remember what a Reliant's would have been, but I'm guessing less that 1/2 that. Mr. Bean always seems to have it 'in' for the Reliant.
  8. Entertaining sales and production forecasts. I wonder what they actually achieved. 4000 - 5000/year? I doubt it.
  9. 4 cylinder, 700cc, 750 or 850cc. Build 'em .... And race 'em .... 750 Formula
  10. Not a bad idea to keep the seals in the dump valves 'exercised' by operating occasionally. Have also ready some advocating adding a cup or so of vegetable oil to keep seals lubricated.
  11. I don't have any physical brochures. Only Pdf versions fron the 'Files' of the Yahoo Group. No asterix (nor Obelix) or disclaimer
  12. Axle ratio is probably 4.10:1. You'll probably want a 4.56:1 or 4.88:1.
  13. You've published what Toyota says, I linked to what Dolphin says. I've no argument, just good to see both presented here to help people make their own informed choice. Most seem to ignore the GVWR and exceed it by 1000 - 2000lb anyway. I'm out.
  14. JD, as far as I'm concerned you'd best continue any Dolphin GVWR argument with National. Perhaps they can explain to your satisfaction what they published.
  15. Nope. Just another way of agreeing with you.
  16. Basically what I said about 5 pages ago.
  17. I'm not saying you or Toyota are wrong (nor saying it's ridiculous ). I'm merely stating what Dolphin brochures published. The only Odyssey brochure I've seen (online) doesn't give a GVWR. What year do those pages apply to? https://xa.yimg.com/df/toyota-campers/dolphin4.jpg?token=L4RN3BLS3QhLuFg4jyzmBhtTNcsClH_dvwwkXXDRjHRUdWNnaYIWnnrpyGVAaZ4kfmWWCBAspeRG2tHJpXZz0EXQL_h9h-YMgVRrZ4oCJa7viW04_30wXPiWYBrr5z_kFGb7qJT3MmHFKLkX7Meng0FYuouWvZoqG4B4t_YHI5s2RpkSjjE-HAeC0J6SBjrBzdSbxfj455fRp0H4R7Dx51y8AL6JPg10SeBTHn62i2uPlPTpPJh_1dBqpS3PHXS8hbMCvBUxggY0VDIM_Ij_jfpHvBvAb_9tp-LREHGkSFY_FDwlM7tECXFTiQ8&type=download https://xa.yimg.com/df/toyota-campers/1988+Dolphin+Micro+Mini.pdf?token=_B9m0-xDEs9OORU-ZnKBHAG69z76y1e9z5fV_XXHV-4CC9-vwtk9WUP8RNoGD8QeAqQJAJcDHBhb3z_6t0z3byT1CKqwk4n0yoiinBe6h8RUR8MRxVA7aoOc1-Sr1FE-GnaJB_i9IC5Jsw_oJf-PZoFDWTnUVlk_8NmZBu3Ux2J8XpZaW7OtNfFR_DwTfrvOWhi42AE_j592ROdT6jdLXGil6Ciy7ctMdTs6Kv_Uaxyc_hkJHyQtDg5w7eidLlv9RUUs6jzVI0baka6X-yd1Dw4AAjpk9prG4K2vjjK-6dJSzMV21ZyIeFzP3srGU7pqHr2h4joSz-kYN8LIMfx0zrTec8EqTCZNGEo&type=download
