  1. having been totaled out twice rear ended totaly not at fault  once in a Datson and in a toyota 4WDxtra cab. if you bend it you bought it . i will go to the ER then to my lawyer and take them for all i can get . with no mercy. seemes that is the only way these cell phone  red light runners nuts can be treated. be viglant watch out in all directions be pernoid it could save you. first time was very large dump truck trailer back how outfit. shoved 40 feet into the back of a van.Where those belts i am here because i had it on.  PS i am so old i learned to drive with all drum brakes and no power anything.

  2. some of the old nissan trucks and they where aways 6 lug as far back as 1962. i had a 1962 L320  was very old when i had it . was told the 6 lug rims for a chevy LUV would fit it . and they did on the back anyway as i had a pair with snow tires on them .so the Japan made chevy Luv truck rims 6 lug fit some of those nissan Datsun trucks what all year i am not shure

  3. i was in past have the 1987 and 88 now dolphon and 4WDXTRA cab only choice there gear starter . have a reman napa gear starter on the truck . the other one was to burned out to repair. tes i agree the old 4 speed and the 5 speed are 2 different tranies.for shure .i still miss that wagon put way over 200.000 miles on it . my young driver so n rolled it over one night whith us in it . seat belts saved us.

  4. all i can say is it worked for 14 years on my 1977 20 r corona wagen  that was a w50 5 speed  never had a problem . 1978 motor  home also l43 4 speed. a re you talking auto trans . used bosh reman. i also had the factuery toyota green cover book showed both. asked the parts guy he said no problem  and i never had any. last for way over 100.000 miles no problem.

  5. if you have those old type glass fuses i would take them all out and replace with new . even if they look good that type can still be bad. somtimes they even fall apart inside but still look fine. make shure to replace with the correct size . i have had this happen too me. took advice from old time toyota mecinec he new what he was about .

  6.                going             to mtns with out  that blue flame                            propane . is a pain . saved by my kids bbq tank i stole off his grill at midnite when my fridge was out . his dog just let me do it . wa st june 29 2021 was a pain tues day temp was 113. i live in the desert of eastern wa not seattle.

  7. i had a rear blowout on my  1977 toyota                              corona  station wagen 50 miles east of missiola montana . it ripped  the gas filler hose  off of the gas tank and dumped 14 gallons of gas on the road . one spark parents and 3 children would of likely blown up.  i new i should of changed that tire at home .big timber montana 2 more new tires . cody whyoming 2 more tires . all 5 tires . did not want old moldy spare . car very loaded.

  8. i just a few weeks ago solved this same  problem on my dolphon 1987 i left a post on here about . i installed 2 11 pound short tanks propane tanks these are about 2 1/2 gallons each . cost a little over 100 dollors plus new pigtails and a tee both together is 22 pounds of propane works great made 2 trips already 9 days total.. you can buy a tee and hose extend a flow i think its called hook a standup bbq tank on the ground  tee in the onboard tanks . those 2/1/2 are working great for me . the china made horazontal tank is 150 dollors . the manchester is 450 dollors . i replaced a 1973 lay down tank.

  9. i wanted to quit using very old 1972 dated horzontal tank . dot cylinder type. new horzontal  tank                       at the local shop   20 pound. 400 smackers . special order only. manchester. some outher brand made in china 150 to 200   not avalable anywhere anyway. so i went to the local discount store wich is bimart 70 some stores in the                       north west.for 150 dollors i bought 2 11 pound about 2 1/2 gallons each squaty upright tanks. they fit perfectly. installed a  tee on my regulater and 2 new quickconnect pigtales . and problem solved . cost a little over 200 dollors .

  10. hi all i havent been on in a while . i have delt with this problem . fixed a freands itaska . yes you can buy a kit cost at the time some years ago 50 bucks. includes a new filler neck and a new standred bleeder screw . he bought the kit at a rv place but the rejected the liabilty of installing it . so i did it for him he could not fill his tank at all. worked great .

  11. hellow  e  been a while since i been on here   on my oyther toyota 87 4wd xtra cab 22rec . i fixed the no  start                    cold below 40 deg .cold start.injeckter , iwired it strait to a line fuse to a togle switch . flipit on off hit key fires right up when cold cold . when not so cold turn hit key turn off fires right up . use this 4 years already.

  12. my 87 dolphon pict at left  is model 400 22rec automatic has been fine for us .  had 67000 org miles  when i bought it 7000 500 dollors. i dont use the overdrive . and some back country roads i shift  manual like a stick. prefere stick have a sr5 4wdxtra cab truck as well same power plant . the moter home is the only auto i have had of 7 toyotas 2 moterhomes . keep the four cyclinder reved up . but not over reved . luging kills the engine and trans by heat . national rv put on xtra trans cooler .never had a 6 and dont want or need one for me . 4 in a row is the way too go. when you buy old used cant be too pickey. besides i am old  some what shiftless lol. auto i think the auto is better in city trafic with the moter home you have a lot too watch as it is .

  13. yes i am sorry i forgot to say yes you will have to raise it .  but also need it raised  then you  nee d a jack to raise and lower the tank. my freands have a farm shoup they had some masiv e heavy wood ramps i was able to put the rear tires                        on . used a big floor jack too lower and raise the tank i did not unhook it all the way  just stuff hoses down from fill hole  h ock on tank use new clamps .

  14. i have replaced the filler hose and the small vent hose .on my 87 dolphon . and previous 1978 minmax . in both cases the main filler hose was dry rot and craked . gas fumes inside rv could make a boom boom . shure was at the least sickning . no special tools  do not use raderater hose gas will eat it out . that is why this neoprene fuel tank hose sold by the inch . not by foot bought mine at napa  auto parts . the modern hose is better made . these tanks have drain plugs on the bottom . you need a good size floor jack .to loor the tank up and down . unhook tank unhook hoses from tank . unscrew the screw at the filler  pull hoses out . do this job outside if possable . bad gas fumes come out of the tank . i did myn almost up too the outlet did not drain . but the tank was heavy better almost empty .take  old hose with you to order most dont stock it. the vent hose is standred gas vent hose . not a big deal on the little one .
