  1. as far as I know all 22R carb engines came with a mechanical fuel pump mounted on the left side of the head . wonder why he would of put on an electric pump. if it was me I might see about putting a mechanical pump back on it . with the valve cover off the cam that operates the mechanical pump can be easly seen. unless there was a problem with the cam lobe why change to that. Toyota changed the later 20R about 79 or 1980 to a mechanical pump .

  2. I don't have the part number sorry.i will do some research on it .if your rv place is any good at all they should be able to tell you what is wrong. I am going to say my guess is that it is empty. but we will have to wait and see.the one I worked on had enough fumes come out of the opening for anybody . I did the job outside in a light breeze. and very carefully.

  3. it has been my experience two times 2 rigs that the auto stop went bad. and when it does you can not fill the tank at all. you remove all of the autostop stuff and replace the small tube with a whole new bleeder valve. you replace the autostop with a plane new check back filler neck. I HAVE DONE THIS FIX.

  4. I have friends with newer rvs that have the piezo ignition. it only lights the top burners on theres. they still have to light the oven by hand . I read in a rv magazine about a very high end all stainless steel stove made in italy it has a 12 volt oven light and full auto ing on all burners and the oven but it cost 900 dollars. it is being sold here by dometic called SMEV made of 304 grade 1810 stainless steel it is a beauty in the picts.

  5. your tank could be empty those tank fill button setups go bad have seen 2 tanks on motor homes with that system both bad . you can not fill it when they go bad it will not take propane. the fix is buy the replacement kit which is a manual type bleed screw and a replacement filler neck. I have installed this on a friends mother home . you remove the button setup and the filler neck, the local rv place sold the parts but no one would install it . I did it . then he filled it up and worked fine. seems they fail shut can't fill it up.

  6. my son just bought the champion inverter generator at cabelas I felt that it was pretty quiet. he has a brand new 28 ft jayco with a big roof air I think 15000 BTU seemed to run that ok but have to shut it off to run the microwave. I don't know what it cost he said less then a Honda.

  7. that is correct collision and comp is never required except when financing a vehicle. I don't carry collision on my 88 4wd .. I believe two things a bank may fight for you and I know by personal experance that you are in a much better position if you are not at fault. if you are still working and can afford to buy another one if you lose it then that works for you to save money on insurence . for those of us who are retired some can afford more risk then others.. each one must make your own decision what works for each one. I cut my ins cost by only keeping full coverage for the summer months that I use it. I keep comp on mine I cant keep it at my house. I park at my freands place . and the fire danger is extremely high here every summer. AS FOR BEING paranoid yes I have been in 3 wrecks. totaled out in 3 years been a few years of peace now.

  8. yes they do have coolant in the heads . 1978 that should be a 20R if you ever have to remove the head . one of the big problems at least back a while replacing the head gasket with a FELPRO and I had this happen to me the felpro was not made the same as the factory head gasket was sold as PERMERATORQ put on tork forget about . NOT so the factory head gasket torq down run eng for 800 900 miles then RETORQ THE head they never blew unless you overheated it some how. those felpro would do good to last 2 years and would blow at anytime for no reason . a Toyota mechanic warned me and that is what I found . another thing I have seen is HEADS so corroded out from not changing antifreeze they are aluminum that they begin to leak into the motor. if you smell antifreeze in the tailpipe it will be a head job.

  9. you may not be able to see the pict by my post . the former nut who ever it was made extension brakets out of hardware turnbuckles ugly and worthless. because the arms that are on there are not the right arms they are way too short. they were built with 4 heads all that and the right arms were gone. we clamped the conduit mashed flat on the ends and drilled and then moved the west coast heads out now I can see behind me. they are tall and swivel on the top and bottom. up on top of the arms right at the top of the mirrors I clamped 3 inch round convex mirrors. they had small stick ons on the bottom of the big mirrors I left those on there. the round ones on the top are adjustable they really help with blind spots. that pict is older does not show the round ones. and is before we made the extensions. I had to add more braces from the doors. now they stay put.

  10. it pays to be able to read and understand your insurance very important . I paid 7500 for my dolphin . I have full insurance on it only in the summer as I don't use it in winter . I am with GRANGE in seattle . I have it covered in w righting for 8000 total loss . 500 dectible collision 250 other losses. this county has a high amount of no ins no lincense drivers. I have been in three totals buy others they did have liability . our rates are good because we are retired and no claims at fault

  11. my dolphin does not have the stock mirrors they were gone when I got it. someone put west coast style one piece long ones on it. I had to put on extensions made from conduit. and more bracing because they would fold in while I was driving it. also the arms that were on it where too short. I also put on 2 big round convex magnifying mirrors. can't you adjust yours so they are better. I also put one of those stick on magnifier lens on my bathroom window I would not be without it. but it makes cars look farther back then they are.
