  1. A Merry Christmas to all, from a Minnesotan that wishes she was in AZ.
  2. It worked fine before. Water pump lights, but battery and tanks doesn't. I only did two things, lately, that may have contributed to malfuction. I replaced both batteries and I put in a new porch light. When I did the light, I, accidentally, shortest it and blew a fuse. I replaced the fuse. Everything was ok, then, until I noticed the battery/tank levels weren't lighting up. Does the monitor panel have a separate fuse? Any ideas?
  3. I don't turn my main burner on. I just leave my water heater on pilot. Takes a while to heat up, but keeps it hot, once its heated. Good if you don't use a lot of hot water.
  4. I got small micro from Walmart for 29 bucks on sale. I put it on my fridge top and still have room for my 19 in Lcd tv/dvd combo on top of the micro. Works great.
  5. Is there a trick to draining the water heater? I turned the drain spout counter clockwise and some water dribbled out. That's all. I know that it must be nearly full. If I put the pump on it gushes out. I opened all the faucets, figuring it must need some air to let the water out. No luck. I could open up the relief valve, like I did last year. That worked, but maybe isn't the proper way. I thought I'd ask you guys first. What am I doing wrong?
  6. I would be interested in a Wisconsin Toy rally. I'm from south central MN. Tudy 84 Dolphin "Cricket"
  7. You need the newer style lens, if your Toyota motorhome is an 88 or newer. So it should fit perfectly.
  8. That oughta add at least 10 more horses, I'd say.
  9. When I installed my new porch light, I put the putty tape all around, leaving a weep hole on the very bottom. This way any moisture that enters the fixture, can drain out. Love my new porch light!
  10. I usually bring water from home, for drinking and cooking. Haven't drank water from my fw tank, yet.
  11. Don't forget to get that bleach into your water heater tank. It needs disinfecting, too. Just run your hot water tap for a few minutes to fill it up. If your hot water smells bad, it needs to be done.
  12. I have an 84. Dolphin 22r with stick The fuel filter is located under the coach, right behind passenger side of cab. Easy access, unlike the efi models. Can't help you with charging question. Someone else will, I'm sure. Enjoy your Toy.
  13. Don't miss Crater Lake. It is among the most awesome sites on my west coast meanderings. Worth going out of your way.
  14. If you're looking for economical and trustworthy, you've got the right RV. Just don't be in a hurry. When I'm not buckin the wind or climbing steep hills, I can, easily, go 60 - 65 mph. Youget the best mileage doing closer to 50 mph. Check the tires, carefully, for condition and load rating. Mine is an 84 Dolphin 22r w/4 spd stick. I love mine and she has about 110K miles. She (Cricket) hasn't let me down, yet. Good luck & happy camping to you! ^^
  15. Getting the regular vent screens down to clean is easy. How do you get the escape hatch screen cleaned of bugs and debri? Thanx!
  16. My Toy looks identical to yours but with a tinted, bubble, front overcab window. Same graphics & colors exactly. I wouldn't use too much rubbing compound. Some is ok. Use sparingly. It looks a lot better than when I got it. Use a good polish and buff out, well.
  17. It would be easy to ship, if anyone has one. It's just a thin aluminum strip. Good luck on your search.
  18. I have the same 84 Toy Dolphin w/stix, as yours. I use my automotive products to clean & wax. Looks great after you buff it out. I, too, have no AC. No need for it. I just had a new awning installed in '09 along with 6 new Hankook tires and a new Dometic fridge. Yeah, she's ready. I'm going to our family camp at Whitewater State Park, here in MN, next week. Beautiful & no mosquitoes! It's all about enjoying God's creations. Happy camping!
  19. I just filled it for the first time this year. I always keep it at it's lowest setting. I think the relief handle must have gotten bumped. I pushed on it and it slowed down to nothing, now. Whew! Now if I can get my drain hose fixed up, I'm set.... For now. Oh well, the cork is working real well!
  20. I did a search... No results. Anyway, I don't recall it happening before, with the Toy. Seems to me, maybe, once with my Jayco trailer. It just leaked for a spell and it, finally, quit. I haven't used my hot water heater for a couple of years. Maybe that's got something to do with it. Also my freshwater drain hose leaks from not having a tight enough seal in the hose end. The drain male end isn't big enough around to seal the drain hose. I got a cork in the hose end and it's holding, so far. Getting ready for camping in a few days, so hope to get the problem solved, soon. Thanx a bunch!
  21. Mine will drag, unless I approach at an angle. So backing out or coming in is always at an angle. No problems, any more.
  22. I'm hoping that my "tinted bubble window" over my dolphin's cab, never gives me any problems. The dark tinted glass keeps the interior cooler and retains privacy for occupants. The bubble shape gives a little pizzaz to a somewhat boring part of my Toy home. Don't know why they all didn't have this feature. ^^
