  1. I wish I could tell you where the bracket might be, but my daughters 4 runner had a similar problem. Toyota replaced a broken bracket involved with the parking brake to fix that. Might look for something inside the coach or immediately after the fire wall.
  2. Just been working on my waste valves. The grey water tank has a large rubber hose coupler with two hose clamps on it. one attaches on the exit of the tank the other around a large abs reducer fitting. It is something like 3" to 1.5" which is what my valve is. there is about 3 inches worth of 1.5" abs pipe before it hits the glued flange of the tank valve arrangement. I'd be looking for the rubber splice and start finding abs reducers to match. good luck.
  3. Was replacing my tank valves this past weekend. In preparing for this I really cleaned, heck blasted, the black tank and noticed a large drip coming from the tank area towards the bumper side. After getting home and looking more closely I could see that the tank sits unevenly up against the floorboard. The rear of the tank has as much as 1/2" gap (this is where the toilet and the bath sink are as well as the exhaust pipe exiting the tanks. I got in with a hose and blasted again. sure enough with enough force some water did indeed drip from the same place above the tank. I plan to look at it more closely, but it may indeed be some overflow valve, and if so Thank you very much Winnebago! oops forgot to mention, I have a 92 Spirit. Well I just got off the phone with Winnebago. No not a valve. it should actually get water holding in the "stool" area. Hence the rubber gaskets used are leaking. There is one at the toilet and one at the vent pipe. and I imagine the bath sink has some gasket too. Ah well.
  4. Thanks everyone! I do live in the Mojave. The swamp coolers are our friends. My new home has a old noisy one and I am used to the water/humidity it ads. Helps with the cooling when I open all the windows. I know that the cooler is mainly forced air in, windows open to let air out. Thanks for the over fill warning while driving, I was wondering about that. I too want to set it at the back of the coach. The water and power sources are nearby and a reroute would be easier. I was wondering about noise issues when comparing shore power A/C versus the swampcooler. I do intend to use it while driving. The cat has gotten a bit used to that. My Toy is a lot quieter than the old class C we ditched a while back. For the sake of it I will check motor mounts, although the previous owners complained to a repair place, and was told little could be done to alleviate the noise issues with it. The cat loves the A/C on shore power. Guys, who have both, how do they compare? The 12VDC usage isnt that much, and I will eventually go solar too. but that's a few years down the road. once again, thanks for your replies and assistance
  5. The A/C runs fine on shore power, quiet. ITs a dry camp issue. THe gen set in camp is too noisy to run and vibrates the coach. sitting on the couch is mighty interesting! Turbo Kool is a swamp cooler that runs on 12VDC.
  6. I own a 92 Itasca Spirit. It has a Kohler GenSet and A/C. These function, A/C works well, but the Kohler is obscenely loud. shakes the coach and scares the willies out of my cat, for whom the A/C is a must. I am considering the turbokool to alieviate the noise issues. However since it is essentially a fan driven piece of equipment, I am concerned it maybe equally noisy and in that sense a waste of money. Can anyone compare the two for me and help me decide what to do? thanks SpiritHappy
  7. The inverter is under the couch. There are circuit breakers there for 110VAC which the AC uses. I dont know which one is the AC at the moment. Also. I had my AC go out unexpectedly on a trip. after I swerved (not recommended) to avoid an animal. Turned out all breakers inside were ok but no power anywhere on standard house sockets or the Airconditioning. The Generator runs. Turns out there is a breaker on the Kohler Generator that is very loose and easy to flip. The swerve did it. I reset it. All worked well after that. Hope that helps.
