  1. This is probably long resolved, but I am a big fan of using the Propane tree. Then you can run several propane appliances off of one small or medium propane tank using propane whips with the Colman fittings. I typically run a lantern on the top, and then have two lines that go to a grill/ camp stove, and a little buddy heater if needed. It's very portable and I have run with this for years. Just posting to give folks some ideas if they are looking for similar solutions. 2. Hey no worries! I really hope that you get it all figured out. I am actually going in a totally different direction with this project than what I originally had in mind. I am going to be converting it into a flat bed, but rigging it for overlanding. My next video will be all about conceptualizing my ideas and then coming up with a plan to execute. I am a big fan of keeping things simple, and I think just getting rid of the camper will make my life sooooo much easier, but my camper was in MUCH worse condition than what yours appears to be. In any case, I think you will probably have some luck finding someone to do it for you at a reasonable rate!
  3. I just posted a video about all the water damage and dry rot on my rig, I actually just decided to tear it all down and start over from scratch. If you have ppl telling you to sell it but refusing to work on it, I'd say that means you have something valuable! I know it's probably not the answer you are looking for, but there is never any time better than the present to learn a new skill. I would suggest researching more and deciding if it's something you can do. You would need a set of basic carpentry tools, and then you could just purchase/ rent other tools that you need along the way. Good luck with your project!
  4. Thanks for the comment! I agree, after checking out some of the forum topics I think I will find EVERYTHING I need to know on here! Yea, my buddy Austin learned how to wrench at Sears, now he just works independently. I have been wanting to get this project off the ground for years! I am so excited.
  5. HAH, well I guess I will have to earn it now! Thanks for the info I will try to check it out on that link. I could not find info, but I did not try all that hard, because I knew someone on here would be able to answer right away. Thanks again!
  6. Great job! I am also planning on using my rig to haul a bike, but in a totally different way, but what you did has got me thinking of reenforcing my extensions just because. thanks for the excellent documentation.
  7. THANK YOU! You just took a huge load off of my mind! That is not my cabin, nor my plane, just some b roll filler footage from around AK. I am very glad that this forum is active. Once again, thank you so much for the info on the axel, would you happen to have any links with more detailed info on the subject? I am now interested in how things played out.
  8. Hi there, I don't know how active this forum is, but I purchased and RV almost 10 years ago with the intention of turning it into a fishing rig to be used during the summer time up here in Alaska. I am pretty new to mechanics and already have a ton of questions. for example, what is the death dually and how do I know if that is what I have? Anyways, I have already started the project and here is the first video, I am working on the next, but I would like to know sooner than later if this project is even viable in relation to the "death dually" situation. Thanks in advance for any help! I really appreciate it and I hope I get to see this project through.
  9. Holy smokes! I purchased one of these A while ago and only recently started the project. I have never seen another one in Alaska. What is a foolie axel? This is all pretty new to me, thanks.
