  1. I've done the same thing a couple of time too. Don't know why some post never get replys?
  2. Whats wrong with one of thoses little red plasic gas cans? If it stored outside under your motorhome it will be fine, if your floor is sealed up air tight. They say "Spare tank" is non-flammable? it has to be or your car won't run on it, its probably like, not as-flammable, or hardly-flammable. Bet your car runs great on that stuff
  3. If it was 400 lbs. your roof would cave in. Well mine would anyway haha. 100 lbs. Talk about something that weighs a lot and doesn't to much, I took off my slide out step (that I would never use) and its got to be 40+ lbs.
  4. Never heard of putting acetone in your gas, but that seams like it would work, very cool, I'll have to research that... thanks man!
  5. I was going to hang it in the same spot, but then changed my mind, that tank is heavy! so I went with the front seat. I'm thinking of not have spare tire on at all to save weight, I'll see when I get it on a scale. Your motorhome looks very nice by the way! Thanks man, yea would be way to much to ship. I'm looking on craigslist for a 6 lug.
  6. It takes so much to make one explode. I think its fine. If I you crash a motorhome fast enough to make it explode I think the crash would do you in first, plus if you do have the propane in the back of the motorhome and it explodes its still going to kill you. If I do go on a trip I'll take it out while I drive and put out of the front inpact zone. Haha I have my water tank in the front too! 6 gal.
  7. New custom seat cover I made http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v322/Yostfmx/DCP_2868.jpg Framed in over cab sleeper and shimed flat, sorta... haha Very strong and light, have 1/4 ply over the whole bed now. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v322/Yostfmx/DCP_2869.jpg My cabinet for all my clothes in the front seat, yea that right, the front seat. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v322/Yostfmx/DCP_2873.jpg My new propane spot haha, vents and seals thur the door http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v322/Yostfmx/DCP_2874.jpg Thats just some of my things to take the weight off the 5 lug axle of death. Thats the going to be the bathroom, yes very small, too small for most/all haha but it was planned that way. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v322/Yostfmx/DCP_2871.jpg New 5/8 Insulation, now I am rapping it all in aluminium foil (No AC) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v322/Yostfmx/DCP_2877.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v322/Yostfmx/DCP_2878.jpg
  8. Haha yea I saw your motorhome on ebay and said, "Wow that looks very nice, I want it"
  9. Where would I look for those wheels? What would they be called? I've been looking for a 6 lug in So Cal, no luck... Not going to pay over $300 Heres the pictures of it with single wheels http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v322/Yostfmx/DCP_2879.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v322/Yostfmx/DCP_2881.jpg
  10. (Pics worked for me) No problem, and yes you do/should take off the wheels to paint. You don't really need torque specs, just crank them down to what feels right.
  11. Yea, I've seen those 12' wide wheels, I looked at a motorhome that had some. But isn't that the same as the bolt on dually? Its like making one wide wheel that puts to much load on the berings, maybe I'm wrong but isn't that the same with a wide wheels? plus those are looking like a lot of $.
  12. I was told by someone on here that knows what hes talking about that it would be safer to take off the two outside wheels on my 5 lug to make it a single if I can keep the rear axle weight under 3800 lbs. Just wanted to know what other people had to say about this. I have the the wheels off now, looks funny, and not too safe... ? Don't know the weight yet but theres nothing inside so I know I'm under now, I think? Also what tire pressure should I run? Rear tires are: cooper SRM II 195R14c Max. Load Single 950 kg (2095 lbs) at 450 kga (65 P.S.I) cold Max. Load dual 900 kg (1985 lbs) at 450 kga (65 P.S.I) cold Front tires are: Yokohama P205/75R14 Max. Load 695 kg (1532 lbs) at 240 kga (35 P.S.I) cold So is 35 psi really the max, of should, could I run more in the fronts? Oh and I'm going to be living in it on the street, how its the side load on the rear tire? is that ok? I'm not sure what to do, and yes I know the "right" thing is to get a 6 lug, but thats not going to happen. (I'll post pics)
  13. Yea, that is it. It fires evertime with a little gas in carb, just need to take the carb apart and clean/fix it, just don't want to...
  14. Oh and I wouldn't put the spare on the roof, thats alot of weight. And the floor is ply wood with fiberglass over it only 6'' to 1' of so from the edge of the walls in, the rest is just ply wood.
  15. Thats a very good question, I put a 3' x 3' solar panel on the top of mine, but I have it all down to the fiberglass shell, I ran 4 bolts thur from the inside with bondo on it to sorta seal it, then bondoed the over it (on the inside), then laied fiberglassed over it. so it will very leak, I think thats really the only way to be sure it won't every leak. You could cut a small hole in the paneling on the inside were your screw or bolt comes thur and just bondo it. Other then that, I would say use that roof sealent and hope for no leaks. Haha you got that off of ebay didn't you... Hey well you may have alot bigger problem, take off one of the rear hub caps and look at the wheel, does it have 5 lug nuts on the outside wheel and 5 lugs on the inside? or 6 lug inside and out? If it has 5 lugs, you have a recalled axle that WILL break on you sooner or later, probably soon on a 21 fter.
  16. Is Your tank fiberglass? Mine is plastic, fiberglass wouldn't be ideal to patch a plastic tank. My tank leaks at the same point as yours, but mine is do to the drain pipe not sealing around the tank it self, don't know the "right" way to seal it?
  17. Yea, Solar panels are the way to go (not that I've used mine yet). I have a 45 watt panel on my roof and it should power eveything I need.
  18. "I just bought my first home and paid CASH" Thats what I say! As I too will be living in mine...
  19. I guess I was wrong, Bajadulce is back. Its looks sweet man. Mines is at the insulation stage... What did you use on the walls? The wall skins are formed windows? Is that cloth? What am I looking at? Very nice...
  20. WAGs? Closest scale is 40 miles round trip, haha and yea it would be drag.
