  1. Singles would have to be custom made to fit the lug pattern. A few years ago one of our members had some made at Stockton Wheel. Don't know if they are still doing that. Your wheels are still not going to be interchangeable because of the different patterns front and back. I only carry a spare for the front. I have gotten flats in the back several times. I remove the bad tire, blow the remaining one to max and drive slowly until I can get it serviced.

Also, even if you add a sway bar, nothing gives you more stability on the road than the duallys. They don't make it run rougher either. Don't know where you got that idea

  2. I don't think a lot of them were made. Finding actual manuals from 45 years ago is a stretch.  Manual didn't have very much info in them anyway. Has yours had the axle upgraded. Kind of important.  For specific questions we can usually help. Anytime

  3. Very nice camper. Unfortunately because they were never sold new in the US or Canada, manuals are hard to come by. Original manuals would have been in Japanese. I've seen a couple of mentions of google translating but no links to completed one. Parts are just as hard to find. Importers from overseas are usually your only option. This place has some parts and might be a good place to find help. Still a long way from Quebec

  4. Possibilities near you. Mechanic needs to call first. You need square intake ports and round exhaust ports. Good luck. Ignore last one

  5. Very few choices for remanufactured. They just aren't out there after so many years. This is the only one I could find

Toyota 22R Cylinder Head Reman (81-84) - Sunwest Automotive, Inc. (sunwestautoinc.com)

Looks like mid 84 they went to the different ports which might be why your mechanic keeps getting the wrong ones.

Where are you now. Your IP address is definitely not California. I might be able to find one in a salvage yard for you

but I would need to find one close to your current location.

  6. I don't know. I have owned my Sunrader almost 20 years and I've never had one of those. Never seemed to need it either. My pump has never clogged up. I did replace my pump once but the motor was dead not clogged. Just another cog in the line to mees up is my opinion. Take it out

    Linda S

But yes I do think it would work upside down.

  7. The only thing you're going to find out from your plate is your gear ratio. There's only one full floater and it has an 8" gear, the V6's are 4 pinion and because yours is an automatic it has a 4.10 gear ratio. Only other gear it was made with was a 4.30 but only on V6 with a 5 speed manual tranny. It's common to upgrade the diff to better handle the weight and on the v6 the preferred gearing would be 4.56. Common in 4x4 trucks and 4runners if you wanted to look. Your doing an amazing job.

  8. This is near Austin at a dealership. You should go take a look at it. Mileage as good as a Toyota or better. I used to have one similar and they are great RV's. don't know how the bidding thing works but you have time to go see it before bidding ends.

  9. That model didn't have a front window. Strange that it looks like one from the inside. I have no idea why. So, that's too far. Find one in Texas. Here's a nice looking one in San Marcos and way cheaper

Sooner or later you will find one but be patient. We have another new member who just went 800 miles to pick one up and had to have it towed most of the way home. He's got mechanical skills though. To be stuck somewhere after you spent so much money is not good

  10. I used to have a 93 XL. It didn't have a pop top but a permanent fiberglass full sized top. Mine was in pretty bad shape when I got it but man it drove beautifully. That big van window in the front gives a beautiful view when driving. Pretty much same mileage as my Toyota but lots more power. These sell for over 20 grand now so I'll be keeping an eye on it.

  11. Unfortunately the Heavy chassis which is what yours is used a different caliper than the regular trucks. That particular part is now living in the twilight zone. I did find you a new one that would have to be shipped from Japan for the nice price of 570 dollars. Time to look for a repair kit

  12. Some 2wd Tacoma's came with 5 lugs. These aren't too expensive and look pretty nice

Went through eBay too. These were the nicest by far

Or maybe these. The offset would keep the center of the wheel closer to your bearings and the tire out farther for stability.

Pretty sure trailer wheels would work too. They are made to carry a lot of weight.
