  1. The 'proper' way to check a brake booster is to put your foot on the pedal, then start the engine. If the vacuum booster is working properly, your brake pedal will sink an inch or so after the engine starts. You could look under the hood at the master cylinder, and make sure that there's a brake booster behind it first. I doubt however, that this vehicle has manual brakes as power brakes have been the norm for years.
  2. I have an 85 Toyota Rogue. I've been told that it's quite a bit larger than an 86 Dolphin that a friend owns (but I've never seen his to compare). Mine has a 3-way fridge on the right, sink and water heater on left, and bathroom straight back ... toilet is right against the rear wall and the shower is on the right. It has two holding tanks. He tells me the layout is completely different than his Dolphin. But I've never seen another 'Rogue' to compare. Niether the old owner nor the paperwork with it says anything to do about the lenght of the motorhome, be it a 19foot or a 23' or so. Do you measure from the front of the cabover portion, to the back wall? Or from behind the driver's door to the back, just measuring the main body of the coach part? -Paul in San Diego
  3. There are a lot of Dolphins out there, and Chinooks & stuff. The one I just bought is a Rogue and I've never seen another. It's a low mileage (57K) 4-cylinder model with a 4-speed. Runs very well and in fact already has had the rear axle upgrade to the full floater. The only issues I have are panel rot in the roof areas, no mechanical issues that I can think of other than a small leak at the water pump. I tried to replace the rear vent above the bathroom area, but low & behold the panel is so rotten there's no way to attach a screw to it. I need to get the roof fixed before Winter rains come. Also, the plastic cover over the roof air is busted, leaving the blower motor exposed to the weather. It is frozen up, even though the compressor does work. I've got no idea at all, if the AC would even work if I replaced that blower motor. But I would love to get another plastic cover for the unit. Where do you get roof AC parts for these things? -Thank you Paul in San Diego
