Three years ago, i bought 4.56 Yukon gear ring and pinion. Those gear are suppose very quiet. A good shop install those gear and master differential kit. The cost for the job parts and labour cost me 1200$ cad. The gear are very noisy et 50 and 60 mph. I remove the differential myself for check. Backlash , preload  (pinion and carrier), gear tooth pattern. All it's ok. The problem are the ring and pinion.no warranty because i buy the gear by myself. 3 weeks ago, i find a third member with 200 000 milles for 250$ cad. I find a lot of backlash on it but i give a chance. Surprise, it's very very noisy. I think the pinion bearings are no good. For the people who want to make this change, just pay attention for buy a good quality gear. I put extra weight on my warrior 1991 v6 and the 4.56 diff. was the right choice. Better acceleration and the mpg does not change

Next time, i put the original gear on my diff. At the end, i made a wrong decision ang it cost me a lot of money.
