Hi everyone! Picked up a 1985 Toyota Frontier Motorhome last month. Its a big project but I got it very cheap - $1,000 CAD. I'm from Alberta, Canada. The motorhome is a 19'. Cab is mint with only 75,500 km on it. Camper needs some love. Cab over leaks, so I'll be seeking guidance here on that! It did run... But I wrecked something pretty bad and it doesn't anymore. I broke the oil sending unit bracket off of the engine block - I got the threads out but accidentally also broke off part of the engine block itself. Hoping to get that fixed by using some steel epoxy putty that hardens into steel. It has the 22R-E so any help would be appreciated! I'll link my official build thread below. Thanks for having me!

Life really has a way of getting in the way of things. 😅 a lot has happened, but a lot of progress has been made!
The toilet just snaps into its place, only took a little bit of a tug to get it out of the way. Super easy to access the two bolts after that. Had the same big black ring as others have mentioned, mine came off without any crazy hammer and chisel work. The only other thing holding the bathroom in place was the p-trap from the drain to the tank.
I have the coach gutted down to the fiberglass and the floor is not the condition we were hoping for. Bowing and cracking at the back, and a good chunk of rot over the cab. I live in the PNW so those repairs will have to wait until spring.
It has thankfully been dry enough out here so far that I could start work on filling in some of the holes left from the appliances. Fiberglass work is not easy to do well. My heart goes out to everyone who’s tread here before me. A ton more appreciation for projects like Doug’s 😝

I’m working on an almost non existent budget, and the results definitely reflect that. I used bondo brand resin and fiberglass from lowe’s for the fill, and went with the “for sale” sign wrapped in plastic as the mold. With better care in setup, and maybe loose fiberglass instead of a weave I think this method could be worth considering.
hopefully I can get more pictures soon 😅
