    • Fred - I put the "No A/C" belt on today and thought of you as I briefly felt smug, then remembered it was not my idea, but a distant friend on this great forum.  Thank you - bomb proof solution, which is what I needed as we are headed up to remote British Columbia on Thursday for the first serious trip.  A tip o' the hat to you!

    • Bled the brakes and clutch today. Convinced the fluid was original. Happily, Toyota uses quality steel and all 5 bleeders cracked open just fine - first bleed in 45 years. Cleaned out the reservoirs, and the funny 'flying saucer' in the clutch reservoir looked good. My 1986 Supra had the same clutch feature. The load proportioning valve had no bleeder.

    • I used a big piece of paper to make a pattern.  This is the entire piece looking down from the upstairs, with our cat inspecting to be sure I have the carpet upside down before cutting (!).  Didn't take long to cut the pattern.  Once the carpet was cut, It took 15 minutes to put down the double sided carpet tape, and lay the carpet atop it. Actual laying the carpet was less than 3 minutes, because it's just tight up against both sides.  I have nothing on the edges, as they are under the edges of drawers and cabinet doors, so they can't really be touched by shoes, etc.  I stained some quarter round and am still deliberating whether to put it down as it's under the aforementioned edges and can't really be seen.  What do you think?image.jpeg.0f461ba5594e4b788fbe4dc6f7f99d79.jpeg
