88seabreeze
Got the RV bug---I'm close to retirement and thought I'd try it out a little... Bought an '88 Seabreeze with only 23k for $3400...drives like a dream, but was dirty...had been sitting for a couple of years...it's not mint, as was lived in for a year by a small family...don't know if all the appliances work... engine (4 cyl.) makes an ugly noise for a while after start up...it's a floating pulley behind the crank pulley...hope it just needs a little grease...I do have a full set of manuals, if anybody needs anything, let me know... bufbooth
Sounds like a great deal, especially the 23K and the price. Be sure to get all the maintance up to date (oil change, maybe transmission fuild change, rear diff. fuild change, fuel filter, gease the front bearing, maybe a valve tappet adjustment, ect). Check out your tires, be sure they are not dry rotted, are the correct type, and have the correct amount of air in them, the tires usually do not have much error margin due to the weight of these motorhomes. Check out your LP tank, you may have to get it recertified, it should be an hortizal tank which will in most cases will allow you to have a 10+ year tank, as long as it has been recertified in the last 5 years (most full service LP suppliers can recertify a hortizal tank). Check all your roof seams around the vents and windows to see if you need to reseal, do not want any water damage. Good luck, Dennis...
