Ac Out Of Order

You can remove the belt but it will not make a significant difference in you mileage. When the A/C is turned off, you are just turning two pulleys, not the compressor. If you do not use the A/C, it would be worth the effort just to have less to go wrong with the engine. One less belt to break which could destroy the other belt. Two fewer pulleys turning that both have bearings that can seize which would break the belt which could destroy the other belt..

Fewer working systems means fewer potential problems.

I occasionally use my A/C so I leave mine in working order. If I didn't use it, I would remove the belt myself.

I'd suggest leaving the belt on. If your A/C is still working, turning it on for a few minutes a couple of time a month will keep everything freed up. Take the belt of and then expect it to work again in a couple of years (either you or the next owner) is asking a lot.

Another problem. Stove top works but oven won't, even with pilot on an hour. Hot water burner working OK but rv heater won't come on, just makes a click and nothing. Fridge sparker works as you peer through the peep hole when lighting on gas setting but no heat on backside so it doesn't work but on electric plugged in the vevt heated up a bit. What is the advice? Don't care if fridge works but want a heater and oven for the wife!
