sue
We are to go and look at a Toyota Daytona by Cobra. The individual selling it has written that the ceiling paper needs replacing. He says that it has wrinkled. He used it in the fall and winter and felt that condensation caused by the heat inside and the cold outside caused the paper to wrinkle. Do you agree? Would you replace it with paper? Thanks for any input.
picklebill
Sue - Try to find out if what is under the paper is some form of plywood. If it is, you can remove the paper and clean off any adhesive. Then maybe sand it smooth of it is not, and paint it with a product called "white pigmented shellac". It is the ultimate stainblocker, and is usually white. The brand we us is Kilz. Then you can paint over it with any color you want. This has always worked well for us. Be sure you use white pigmented shellac, as there are other products called stainblockers, but they will eventually let the stuff underneath bleed through. Before you buy, I would recommend making sure there is no dryrot under the paper. Hope this helps. Bill

Since the Pa was closer to home, we looked at that first and it was in such good condition that we didn't go to Oh. We are now the proud owners of a '92 Toyota Itasca. The sellers are having some work done on the generator and are even going to deliver it to us. I'm sure we will have many more questions after we take delivery.
