kaya5150
Any tips of lighting the refrigerator. I don't have a manual and thought I would ask first. It has not been lit in over a year. thanks Tom
turtle
Depends on what kind of fridge you have. If it is the older type that you have to go outside to light (like in my 1981) you can use a BBQ lighter instead of using the piezo clicker. If it is a newer inside light unit you will just have to hold the button and keep clicking away until it lights. It will take quite a while to purge all of the air out of the lines whether it hasn't been lit for a year or a day. HINT: Fire up the store burners and the furnace as the furnace is a force feed auto light before you try to light the fridge and water heater (unless you have a DSI water heater). That way most of the line will have LP in it before you start playing with lighting the fridge. Always light the easiest LP appliance first (store burners) and depending on your LP appliance layout move toward the one you want to light and light those first. Make sure that you do not have any bug or animal (mouse etc) nests in the burners BEFORE you light ANYTHING.
