My "new" 1986 Toyota Dolphin

Hi all. A few week ago, we became the owners of a 1986 Dolphin. For two weeks I have been reading the mail and finding many important tips. I would dearly appreciate the groups tips on how to restore the exterior aluminium siding. I finished doing the interior and I think it looks very "new" now. Therefore we can use it if we ever get some good warm weather. In the mean time I will be slowly working on the exterior. I can't work more than half an hour per day. (I've had to many birthdays.) So please let me know what products you have used to clean and brighten the aluminium siding.

Also, I discovered where the valves are for the air ride bags. My gage says that there are 30 pounds of presure in the bags. Is that sufficient?

My mileage has hovered around 14 mpg. Since I cannot make it ping with the present timing setting I may need to advance the timing. What is the proceedure, please.

Thanks for this wonderful forum.

Jerry

Hey there jvanoyen,

Send some pics and let me see what your working on.

I have been working on mine for @ 8 months.

June 7th we leave for a 2 week trip from Arkansas to Yellowstone.

I have an 86 Dolphin Model #900 21ft 22re Fuel Injected.

I have increase horespower and fuel milage up to 15 mpg by adding new plugs, wires, points and distributor. Then spent $50 and put in a "K & N Air Filter". All new shocks, and steering stabelizer. All new top vents and escape hatchs replaced after the worst Hail storm Arkansas has ever seen.

My pics are at my screen name on the website and then click on gallery.

Any questions, just ask
