Lance Andrus Posted May 18, 2008 Share Posted May 18, 2008 Was installing my new tranny oil cooler today and troubleshooting the OD as well. Got to checking the selonoid and discovered the wire was broken. Can't the other end of the wire and can't find a decent schematic of the system. Where does the wire on the selonoid connect to? jayemright Posted May 21, 2008 Share Posted May 21, 2008 I am hoping that is the problem with mine as well. I push the button, but nothing happens. Is the default position to have the overdrive on? I did ok on a 1200 mile trip. but I had to put the pedal to the metal to kick it down on some hills, and it wanted to go back into 4th ASAP. Is that what yours was doing? I love the truck though. My OD never worked since I bought the RV, I was just tired of it wanting to shift so I troubleshot the entire system and found the broken wire.
