      Hi Trana,

We cannot help if you don't supply enough information. Both of the replies refer to your engine starter motor. You indicated that the coach battery may be at fault. Your coach battery does not start the vehicle engine, so we are unclear in what your problem is. Could you provide more information.

  3. Help new toyota home owner having trouble with our furnace it does work off electric? right not just Gas I know this is a silly question but I know nothing about please help

If your battery (your coach battery, not the car battery) is low, say below 12 volts DC, then you furnace will not start. That is because the flame sensor needs a full 12 - 14 volts to activate. As mentioned by someone else, most furnaces are only Propane fired. The electricity is used to run the fan, thermostat, furnace fan and the controls. The "shore power" is AC, and comes into the main panel, is convert to 12 volts DC and then charges the battery and runs other things (fans, ...

I have seen dual speed axles, as an add on, I don't know if there are widely available. All the advise so far is valid, why are you considering? I would think going the other way (or alternatively) change to a dual rear end with 4.56 and something like 3.88 - that way you have better uphill power and better fuel mileage

  7. How do I update original propane setup on 1976 toyota chinook?

      Hi Tangerine,

Generally speaking, and depending where you live, the requirement is to have a certified propane designed for an RV. It must be recently certified (less than five years old, have the newly required OPD valve and recently pressure tested. I would be careful about upgrading to a larger tank, mainly due to the increased weight of the (larger) empty tank, the increased weight of the fuel and the overall larger size which may create a mounting problem; unable to see / access v...

  9. Newbie here. Does anyone have an idea on the value of a 1978 Toyota Enterprise with 77,000 miles , 4 spd, 4 cy, in decent shape ?

      Hi Kae,

I would first advise you to inspect any rig to ensure that the unit is a dual wheel rear axle. There is an issue with rear axle failures on single wheel rigs.

Second I would have any rig's transmission oil tested to see if it is clean, not been overheated and is the correct fluid. Lastly check out items like the types of tires (are they capable of carrying all that weight) how old the battery is ( a good quality battery for the coach can be up to $200) and last ho...

      Hi,

I have a small leak on top of my roof and am going to experiment with a marine tape. It is used to seal through the roof penetrations such as masts and winches, so it is used a lot to water and weather proof sailboats. It comes in rolls, is about 3/16 thick, has UV additves (for sunlight protection) and is about three inches wide and twenty feet long roll.

Nanaimo has been cloudy, for the most part and calm. While here, go downtown and look for the Dragon Boat Festival, it is now the largest on the Pacific Coast and attracts thousands of people. Enjoy yourself.
