  1. It might be asphalt coating. When I peel it off it looks like there is a thin layer of black fabric in the bottom. I've been using a very dull rounded metal putty knife, but plastic definitely seems like a better choice.
  2. I picked up an 88 Sea Breeze from a neighbor who was moving out of state last minute. I was going to put Eterna Bond tape on the vents when I discovered the sad state of the roof. In the first picture you can see something the previous owner had put on the roof. I know I need to get it off of there but not sure what it is exactly and how to remove it safely. It looks like the roof is a combo of metal in the front and then fiberglass. Can anyone guess from the first picture what the stuff that's peeling off might be? What is a safe method to remove it? I'm worried I will cause more damage. In the second picture you can see some black stuff that's around all the vents etc. Any idea what it is and how to remove it?
  3. Thanks so much. This will be a huge help! You are correct sir. It is in fact a 900.
  4. I would like to find an owners manual for my 88 Seabreeze. Does anyone know how to go about finding one? I'm also wondering how I know exactly what model I have. I have the title, but no other documents.
  5. We bought an 88 Sea Breeze a few days ago. It's our first RV or camper. I've been reading a bunch of posts in this group. There are so many good ideas that I'm a bit overwhelmed. We really want to seal all of the windows. I however do not want to remove any of them. Is it possible to use lap seal, butyl, or roof tape to keep water out? Maybe there's something else that works well? We aren't very concerned with cosmetics at this point. Just want to keep the water out and not have an ugly tarp over it all winter. Up for any suggestions. Thanks!
