Ok, let me rephrase it. I have a manual 4 speed tranny in it now that needs to be replaced with another 4 speed tranny. I would just like to find a repair manual for the motor and tranny section. I was told to get a tranny for a 1984 1ton long bed truck, which is what i did, but if I have any other repair issues I would like to find a book for the motor. You know a general repair manual. So should I look for one for a 1984 one ton pick up or what?

I am trying to find a manual for my 1984 Escaper for engine and transmission repair. It has the 22R motor with a 4 cyl. I need to replace my tranny but I would like to find a manual for it, any suggestions???
