  1. As they say beauty is in the eye of the beer holder ;-) If you've gone all thru it and everything checks out. Only you can decide if it's worth what he's asking for it. I know when I was looking for mine I wasted two 13 hour long round trip drives only to get there and find out both RV's had major water damage. One had 161000 miles on it instead of the 61000 I was told on the phone. Myself it is in as good of shape as you say it is I'd probably buy it. Because these aren't getting any easier to kind. That being said I'd still have to try and talk him down. Good luck with it I hope it works out for you.
  2. So are the back left side studs left handed threads on these? I know the old Mopar's were like that. I always wondered why they would do that. I never did hear s good answer.
  3. I haven't filled the tanks yet but I'm pretty sure there ok. When I checked on it while it was still against the bank there wasn't hardly any real pressure against the pipes I was just being cautious and making sure they were aware of the situation just in case.
  4. There in the right place now after taking it back and having a talk with the manager about them and my messed up rims. Though I'm still waiting on the call to get my rims repainted and clear coated.
  5. If your sure you want it flash him 5K in hundred dollar bills and see if he'll bite ;-) You can always go up on the price if he won't budge.
  6. Well I don't know where the inside stems where because I didn't crawl under it to look. But they weren't where you could reach them thru the slots in the rim and air them up from the outside.
  7. Sorry my writing skill aren't up to your standards. Some people never post because they are afraid of being ridiculed. I won't post again if that will make you happy.
  8. Although the tires on my Warrior looked great. They are over 10 years old. So to be safe I thought I'd get new ones. I had a set of Hankooks on my pickup that wore like iron so I thought I'd go with that brand. The closest I could find them was 60 miles from my little hometown. I drove my RV down after the manger of Big O's said he'd have them the next day. I wanted new stems but they said my olds ones would be find. I was told it would take about an hour to do. So I went for lunch. When I came back they tried upping the price $200 from what I was originally told with tax, balancing, and disposing of my old tires. We went around a little and I told them they weren't keeping my old tire. After it was all said and done it was still a $100 over what I was quoted. Mean while the guy that worked on my RV pulls it out and starts backing it into a spot that has a bank that slopes up from the lot. I ran out trying to get him to stop before he took off my sewage pipes. He stopped just a they were starting to drag I took the manager back out with me to pull it forward and check for any damage. We couldn't see anything wrong but I told him we wouldn't really know till there was water in the tanks. He said if I had any trouble with it just bring it back. Well after all that I just wanted to get out of there and get home. That evening my cousin show up and wanted to check out the RV. I was showing it to him and got to looking at the front rims. Wow they had a ring all the around them that had the clear coat and some of the paint chipped off. It was a perfect circle all the way around both front rims. So this morning I was getting ready to head back down to get this straightened out. I thought I'd better check the air just to make sure that they held. Well they had mounted the back inside tires so the stems were pointing in so if I wanted to check the air I'd have to crawl under the RV. Needless to say they didn't care for me much when I got there. They started out saying their machine had a plastic cover so it could never do that to the rims. After some back and forth the head guy admitted that it was their fault and he is going to line me up with a body shop to repaint my two front rims. I'm sure the back four are messed up to but at least there on the inside were they wont show. Maybe I should join Angie's list :-( Sorry for the long rant guys but I had to vent a little.
  9. Eventually I want to replace this generator. Is there anything out there that would pretty much bolt right up?
  10. My brother sandblasted the old one and it's not rusted all the way thru so we are going to patch it with some stuff from auto zone and give it a shot. I doubt the engine will out last the patch job but we'll see.
  11. I totally agree with you as far as Tecmseh engines being junk. It wasn't till after I bought my RV that I learned Kohler had stuck their name on it. Would I still have bought it knowing that ahead of time? Absolutely it's a great little camper. In the future I'll be replacing the built in gen with a new one but for now I'm going to try and get by with this one thus the search for a muffler. If I already had a carrier on the back I would just go a head and buy a portable one to get by for now.
  12. Well I'm back with another question. I've been trying to get my Warrior ready for a road trip and been going down the list of things to do to made sure my vacation is trouble free. I replaced old deep cell with a new one, changed oil in the generator although it looked clean it was over filled when I checked it. When I finally fired it up it smoked pretty bad but seemed to clear up the longer I ran it. But I also found out the muffler was rusted out and very loud. Well I removed it and took it to the local small engine shop and they can't find the right replacement muffler. I've been searching the internet but no luck yet. So I thought I'd ask if anyone on here would have an idea where I might find one. It's a Kohler model 2.5CMZ part number PA-228174 Thanks.
  13. I didn't know what they were going for I just happen to run a crossed it a H F and thought I'd share.
  14. I want to do something similar to this. I have a friend that is a master at metal fabrication. I'll have to talk to him and show him this post. I do have a question. I heard a long time ago that you had to disconnect your alternator when you welded on a vehicle. Is there anything to that? Thanks in advance.
  15. I take it that you can flip the switch any time. Meaning that you don't come to a stop to engaged it.
  16. I was in Harbor Freight yesterday and they had a complete 3 panel 45 watt system for $200. The collector had connections to hook up 8 sets of panels for a total of 24 panels if you need to go that far. I don't know about the quality of them but they have either a 30 or 90 day return policy that they have always honored for me. I would give them a shot but I just can't bring myself to drill holes in the roof of my RV.
  17. Thanks guys, I was beginning to think I was alone on here. One more question. There is a button on my dash the has ECT on it on top it says power and on bottom it says normal could someone tell me what it's for.
